Wendigoon fans aren't as bad as Harry Potter fans in terms of directly helping atrocities be willed into reality, and I used to be simply eye-rollingly annoyed by how his audience has willfully ignored the obvious reality that he's a Christofascist, but having just found out he was on a podcast with Brandon fucking Herrera I hate every single one of you motherfuckers that so much as clicks on a video of his.

Like, fine, maybe you didn't know until just now, but this information not being spread in the six fucking months since it happened is itself a sign of how bad the problem is. Well here it is! Here's your notice! Stop watching Wendigoon or you're a garbage human being who supports a guy that's friends with someone who reacts to a school shooting with a bunch of transphobic jokes and literally ran for Congress as a Republican oh my fucking God.

It sucks because if this was any other youtuber, he'd be cancelled on the spot with a hashtag on twitter and everything. (I mean he's a straight white dude so it obviously wouldn't stick but ya know what I mean) But because his fans are mostly conservative or 'don't care about politics' none of these accusations are gaining traction.

I have been on the Wendigoon subreddit and it's not like no one is saying anything- it's just the people who speak up get gaslit told they're 'reading too much into nothing because Isiah is clearly apolitical.' They are also sometimes met with racist/homophobic/sexist/transphobic sentiments. He's been fostering an audience of bigots since he followed Kyle Rittenhouse in 2021, and he pretends not to notice.

Imagine if tomorrow Isiah posted a video declaring how much he loved gay and trans people. I can't imagine a world where his current fanbase wouldn't get pissed. We've literally seen this happen when Idubbz posted his apology-most of his fans defended his racist actions.

I see a lot of fanart on tumblr of CreepCast, which tells me he has queer followers. I am begging y'all to get your head out of the sand and take a closer look at who you support. Hunter has said slurs on the podcast (the r-word and a derogatory term for Indigenous Americans) and it was just laughed off and kept in the video. Even if you didn't know about all the other shit, (see comments and prev reblogs) that should have gotten you to at the very least question their political leanings.
