I just find it so interesting rly that the reason young people (girls especially) loved Taylor when she first started out was because she was emotional and earnest and a little dorky and these same things are absolutely despised now by the younger generation and I get it because in a world where you’re constantly being watched and any dumb thing can end up on the internet it’s harder to celebrate pure earnestness everyone needs to be cool and flawless in this fuckass iPhone world but that’s exactly why we need Taylor Swift and any other “millennial cringe” that still exists because young people need to more than ever know it is okay to show emotions and flaws and messiness and make stupid jokes and have fun and be themselves
