it started off as a hug. you two always did that. you were always close.
sometimes even too close.
you missed him, and he was the very best at cheering you up.
his face is in the crook of your neck. hands wrapped around you, stroking your back, rocking side to side.
maybe it was the whirlwind of emotions you were already feeling. maybe it was how warm he felt. maybe, it was everything crashing down on you at once. whatever it was, led you to do what caleb had imagined for years.
when you pull away from the hug, caleb looks down at you. a split second of devastation, from the lack of touch. replaced with a cheeky smile.
he always did that. pretend that he wasn’t madly inlove with you. stepping right back into what was comfortable for him.
looking up at him, your eyes getting glossy. snatching him by the collar. caleb didn’t know if you were playing, or about to punch him.
quite the opposite in fact.
standing on your tippy toes, pulling him in you smash your lips against his.
realizing what you were doing you pull apart from him. caleb is stunned to say the least. face flushed, telling himself to manually breath.
the silence was deafening.
so many thoughts rush to your head. part of you relieved. relieved that you had finally done something, done what you had wanted him to do for a while. the other part so worried that you may have just messed up the best thing you ever had. what if you had read into it wrong? what if, what if he didn’t feel the same way about you..
ready to run to your room and shut the door, to hide away from everything and everyone. including him.
caleb knew you all too well, he is the person who knows you best.
before you could turn even the slightest, caleb uses his evol to close the distance between you.
gripping the back of your head, wrapping one arm so tightly around your waist you couldn’t even think about escaping. goosebumps swarming each part caleb touches.
his lips find yours, his tongue invading your mouth. he’s devouring your very soul.
your hands running through his hair, he twists his head to kiss you deeper.
“you have.” his lips brushed against yours.
“no idea.” your noses slip past each other.
“how long i’ve waited for this.” this time looking you in the eyes, holding your chin with his strong hand. his thumb caressing your bottom lip.
caleb looks good like this. hair disheveled, face heated, his thoughts written on his face.
“pips.” god you loved the way he said that. you loved your nickname even more because it was something he gave you. something only caleb can call you.
your chest grazing the top of his stomach he’s so close.
a slow, passionate kiss. letting all his feelings sink in. cupping the sides of your face.
once he lets go, he leans down and whispers in your ear.
pulling you into a hug. just like before, but this time it’s entirely different.
