Heckin’ rad…Teisco? This came in for a major service and has now gone back out the door playing pretty darn swell. The pickups (which sounded rad) were fine but the switches and pots needed a full replacement, and the frets were in desperate need of a level and dress but thankfully the neck was in pretty great condition. Additionally I found a vibrato arm to match the style of the build and it’s now as close to whole as it has been for some time. I love these types of jobs, they take some doing but the results are always super satisfying. 1963 Kingston SS-4L Guitar #2

4 classic Dearmond gold foil pickups as used by Ry Cooder. A sound so great that 2 pickup companies have spent a lot on R&D to duplicate them. Neck action is solid. Both of the SS-4Ls have been played live by Erik Gustafson, lead guitarist of the Howling Diablos.
