Carreauâs Celsus KĂŒtĂŒphanesiâŠTruly, a magnificent center of knowledge, one so great that even a recluse like Freesia would leave Trefleâs capital to frequent it. There was always more to see visit after visit, and it was a comfortable place - nobody ever bothered her inside there.
It was an especially inviting place after trudging through Carreauâs signature harsh, frigid weather. Inside, the temperature remained at subzero levels that would cause a crisis if it were Trefle, but compared to the outside it was tolerable. Teeth chattering, Freesia rubbed her hands together as she paced, browsing through shelves with the newest additions of documents and books to the library.
After selecting a few fun looking titles (that is, books on close combat techniques and a log from an old foreign cemetary detailing the ways each body had died), she headed straight for a reading room. She had come quite early in the day, as usual, expecting the rooms to be all empty, but today unfortunately there was a being occupying the room already.
Due to the otherâs pale, almost ghostly appearance, she didnât even realize he was there until she had already closed the door behind her.
Perhaps, he might have heard a footstep. But nonetheless, Castor have learns to ignore it while he was reading. Itâs a public library, after all. Peopleâs visit are not uncommon, while itâs indeed rare for someone to visits at these hours. He then proceed to continue reading an important militia files (no, that was a lie. it was a book about humans, again. Written by a famous faerie this time... interesting, is it not?)Â
Until the said footsteps decide to enter his reading room. (why his, you ask? well, it was a known fact that Castor Flavens, the Ace of Carreau, usually spends 60% of his time a day there, it was practically his second home. The librarian didnât mind, after all.) Then, Castor was forced to look up from his book, and look at the intruder.Â
â....â
it takes some while for Castor to revert into his usual persona, the words from the book still jumbling in his head. but once he does (after 2 seconds long,) He wear his usual smile as he greeted the newcomer.
âoh..? Welcome! Iâm afraid this room is occupied, but you are free to read here, if you donât mind being here with me!â
