⠀⠀ Welcome to the world of Kamurochō's last Telephone Club!
⠀⠀⠀Hi, I'm Etsumi Sugihara, owner of this fine establishment.
⠀We're here to introduce you to your newfound friend- or perhaps ⠀⠀⠀indulge in your pleasures. It's up to you to determine how
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ your mystery phone call goes!
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
⠀⠀For more information, please continue reading this post to find ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀out how this process works!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀Interested? Then come and take the plunge!
⠀━━━━━━━━|| [ Dial Now! ] ||━━━━━━━━
How this works:
Everyone who wishes to participate will send me an ASK with a greeting and ONE question for their mystery caller.
Here's a template to make it easier for you:
Preferred Blog:
Greeting:
Question:
⠀
I will assign you a number and pair you with someone else.
⠀
A thread will be made with numbers identifying who the mystery caller is. This post will become your transcript of the "call".
⠀
Participating users will be able to converse through ME. Meaning every message you wish to send to your mystery caller must come through me first so that I can add it to the thread.
Here's another template to make it easier for me to handle your calls:
⠀
ID Number:
Reply:
-END- (if applicable, see step 5)
⠀
When you wish to finish your conversation, add -END- to your post as a signal to me to disconnect your call.
You are more than welcome to expose your true identity as you communicate with your mystery partner! But where's the fun in that?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Etiquette:
While these phone-calls are your own, we do like to uphold a bit of a standard practice. Here's some things to keep in mind.
Don't be rude! Who knows who you're talking to!
Refrain from NSFW references. Comfort is our speciality.
Do not be impatient with your caller.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
And that's all there is to it! If you have any questions, feel free to shoot myself or @reureuby any questions! We'll be more than delighted to help you!

"I'll be honest, I don't exactly know what I am doing here, but I suppose I'll play along. Right. A question for you. How reliable do you like your Narrators?"
+ USER 5:
"Uh- geez- is this...it is. Okay. *ahem* Hello there. You can call me Tanfour, and I'm... a salesman. I'm uh, twenty and from what remains of California. My question for you, random stranger, is to know if you're in the market for a new car. New. Well, new to you. And if so- what kind of vehicle are you looking for?"

"I'm afraid I have never played Animal Crossing, but if that is the comparison you need to draw from then that is fine. Tanfour, if you want to drive your mostly-yellow Suzuki from your warehouse and into my office, then I suppose I will give it a try. If I am able to drive the vehicle without crashing and/or killing anybody with it, then perhaps I will buy it off you. In all technicality, money is not an issue where I come from. Tell you what. Why don't you pick the vehicle you feel is most suitable to the voice you are hearing right now and I will take it for a test drive through my office. We'll see how it fares."
+ USER 5:
"Ayy! Congratulations on your homosexuality! I myself am bisexual, which means I support both Boeing and Airbus. Just kidding. I am bi though, that's not a joke. I'm also a guy. Hint hint. *cough* Anyways! I could give you a discount for that as well, it's the 'y'know discount'. Please picture my limp wrist. About parables, though, I dunno. Don't have an opinion on those, Apollo. ...I'll let you in on a secret. I'm only known for my salesmanship and feared for my all encompassing eyes, and not for my intelligence. Hate'ta admit it, but I'm clever, and not smart. And certainly not smart enough to keep a dictionary around. Tell me more about these parables. Maybe then I'll form an opinion. Or not, since you're an unreliable narrator n' that means bias."

"How... I like my narrators? I guess... unreliable? Like uh, Carraway from The Great Gatsby. Pretty sure he was unreliable. He was also pretty gay. Was he unreliable because he was gay- I mean I ain't saying gay people are unreliable, I'd kiss a guy and still be the same old me- but maybe the thought of a man I like would also make me biased. So do I just like my narrators gay? Sure. I'd read more books if the narrators were gay. Hey wait- why do you ask? And you'd better answer my question too."
+ USER 2:
"Tanfour. Well, I'm under the impression that these sorts of calls are supposed to be a mystery. Therefore I suppose you could call me... Apollo. To answer your question: No, I can't say that I am in the market for a new car, not even one that is new to me. I have no use for vehicles where I live, and more to the point I have never driven one. A bicycle, perhaps, might be more useful, although to be clear I have never used one of those either."
"Apollo, eh? Like the big eagle from Animal Crossing. I can roll with that. But, Apollo, there's no better time to learn anything than the present- driving can be such a freeing experience! I've got this yellow-mostly yellow Suzuki in my warehouse, small sedan size, reliable- Japanese, obviously. It's perfect for a learner. Engine's busted but that's an opportunity for you to customize- you want an LS swap? Can do. Feeling ballsy? I can drop something stronger in there, turbocharged. Hell- you a savvy fella? I got electric Tesla motors. Think about that. All great, great deals too, buddy. But- if you want a bicycle... I might have one or two laying around? Haven't gotten a request for one of those yet. I think I have one of those Peloton things from way back when though. You could learn on that- it's like an inside bicycle. Tell me what ya think."
+ USER 2:
"In that case, you are in luck, Tanfour - I have been reliably told that I am unreliable. You are furthermore in luck because I also happen to be gay - although I'm afraid your luck runs out at the book part, as I have never written nor narrated a book. I narrate for people. However, perhaps I should look into writing a book and recording the audiobook version of it as well. I only asked because if you did not like unreliable Narrators, then it seems our conversation here never would have gotten off the ground, would it have? I do hope this answers your question. I do also have another question for you, Tanfour - How do you feel about parables?"

"Um...Thanks but no thanks; I'm good for now. It's just that I've went through some...things and I'm not in a mood for committing arson. But, if there's a chance we'll meet, maybe we can do that."
