I  love all Rafael Barbas from clean-shaven to bearded, but my heart truly lives with “slightly scruffy” Barba from “Devil’s Dissections” and “Criminal Pathology”.  That somewhat unexplained unshaven look - after the death of a prosecution witness, seemingly at the hands of the County ME who is now missing, it makes sense that he might have skipped the time to shave, and just hauled ass to the precinct, but even before that happened, he was sporting the scruff after appearing clean shaven earlier in the episode.

Whatever the reason, I thank Raul Esparza, and God, for the joy, nay delight, that stubbly Rafa gives me
