Charming was as small town. Everyone knew Jax and SAMCRO and what they stood for. So when someone got hurt, it was no surprising to anyone who had seen them at the hospital. But it doesnât mean they donât worry about their brothers. Bobby was head captive and beaten and hurt more then Jax wanted to see. Bobby was close to him and so, seeing the older man like that was hard. Once they got him back, they rushed him to St. Thomas hoping the hospital can put their hatred towards all of them to the side and allow them to get help for their brother.
They didnât care if cops chased them at this point, Bobby was in the back of the van, Jax beside him along with Chibs and they were just hoping they can get there quick enough because they couldnât lose him. They didnât want to lose him. Jax couldnât take another loss of a brother who was close as he has never gotten over Opie and he knew he wouldnât get over this one, because this feels like his fault. Bobby was in that position because of him and the deals he didnât make when he knew it wasnât good for the club.
As the van pulled up to the hospital, Jax hops out as soon as the van comes to a complete stop and he yells for a surgeon or doctor to head out there to help him. âHelp him please. He was hit, and shot at and needs help. Just forget it was me who brought him in, please just save his life. That is all I am asking.â Jax doesnât beg much, but Bobby, he needed to for him to get the right care. Tara wasnât there anymore due to his mother, so he was just hoping the surgeon he got, wouldnât take into account of who Bobby is and affiliated with and help him and hopefully he makes it through surgery if that was what he needed.
When Isabella had arrived to Charming, it was a lot different that it has been from New York. A perfect place to start fresh for sure. Not a single memory of her dead boyfriend and best friend. The only memories she has of them is the ones in her head. The memories she has been trying to keep out of her head before she gets upset over it again and blaming herself. When she had moved, she had to go to a therapist for it to make her feel better because that's how bad it was. There was one memory she wanted to keep though. The memory of her wanting to become a surgeon because that's what he wanted her to become, and that is what she did become. Keeping his wishes alive. He didn't have the chance to become a surgeon, but at least she did.
Not knowing much over the SAMCRO or even Jax Teller, she had heard stories about them. Rumors around the hospital were mostly about them and there were a few of them who told Isabella if she ever came across them, avoid them. Which, Isabella didn't get. Sure, the stories that she heard seemed bad, but that doesn't make them bad people. She wasn't the person who would judge someone by others telling her about them. If she was to a judge over them, she would want to get to know them first and then judge. It was the only way she knew to truly judge them. To find out what they were like.
While in the emergency room. the blonde had heard yelling coming from outside the emergency doors. Luckily she wasn't doing anything. Just paper work, which could be done after. Heading outside, she had seen it was members from SAMCRO. Now, she doesn't know much about them, but she knew what they looked like. And by the judge of everyone looking over at them, no other doctors were going to help. They just avoided and walked away. A deep breath, she wasn't going to turn a patient away. Criminal or not, her oath was to help everyone. Good or bad. Looking over at a nurse, "Grab a gurney!" the blonde ordered her before looking back over at the man who was asking for help. "I'll help, don't worry." the blonde says in a soft tone. As soon as the gurney came, the blonde pushed it closer to the van. Helping Bobby onto the gurney before bringing him inside the emergency room. Needing to stop the bleeding and then they could do some scans to see if there was any internal bleeding and broken bones.
Charming wasnât for everyone. It was a small town and seemed to have the most comings and goings of things that didnât need to happen. But that is what Jax and the boys were good for. Making sure none of that hit their town and outside the town lines, which the cops donât seem to like, being they are helping but they see them as the bad guys, and are always watching them as well. Maybe that is their fault for going against their orders a lot, but they were just taking care of things. So, maybe that was their fault and maybe that is why Jax was trying so hard to really just make sure everyone was Safe, and they were until Bobby wasnât.
St. Thomas wasnât a place Jax liked being. He hated going since Tara was no longer there, and she was taken away by his own mother. But who was he to really avoid getting Bobby help if they can help him. Make sure he doesnât succumb to his injuries. They rushed to the hospital, the place that didnât want him there, and the place that would rather they go somewhere else, but here they were asking for help. Something they barely do. Something they never do unless it was really needed and Bobby, he was needed and Jax needed him there. SO he was asking for help for the first time in a while, at least at a hospital. Tara used to come to them.
As they pulled up, they couldnât move Bobby, he was heavier as he was just laying there, and they needed help. They needed someone to help them move him, so they arenât dropping him and making it worst. Everyone ignored them, knowing just what they do, and the bitterness about the losing Tara, though it wasnât Jaxâs fault, but they blame him, and he couldnât blame them either. It was more just wanting to make sure Bobby was getting the help. Moving out of the way when he heard someone and wanting to make sure was needed.
âLet me know what I can do. I can help you move him. Just please, save him. Make sure he doesnât die.â That is all Jax was asking, sure it was a big ask, but he knew if anyone could do it, it could be the surgeons there and making sure Bobby got the help he needed. âYou can help him right? Please tell me you can help him.â His voice lower, trying to hide the worry but it was evident.
Since Tara had passed away, Isabella had noticed there hadn't been much of the SAMCRO members coming into the hospital. It seemed to be like they had gone their own separate path and found another doctor who would take care of their members. Someone who would work for them and keep them all safe. It was something Tara had done for a lot for them all, and despite her feeling for them once in a while before she had passed, she still helped them. Tara was a doctor, and her job was to help every one. Good or bad. Something Isabella thought a lot about too. It didn't matter what people had done, who they were. She still had to help. It was her job after all. Nodding to Jax, she knew he was worried about Bobby. Anyone would be if one of their brothers were injured and is in the hospital. Especially since no one else in the hospital would help Jax and Bobby, she had to. They all still had grudges against them, but Isabella put the patient first. Always. And not even that, she barely knew them. She wasn't going to have a grudge on any of the members until she needs to. "Help me to put him on the gurney. Then we can bring him in to fix him up for you." the blonde replied to him. At this very moment, she was not going to call the cops. Not knowing what had happened, if there was a gunshot wound, they would have to report any gunshots to the cops. But knowing their history, she needed to give them a little break from the cops. To help Bobby first and then go from there. As Bobbie was no on the gurney, she had pushed him into the emergency room. Seeing eyes on them. Some were on the phones, she had only figured they could be contacting the police about them. With a deep breath as she pushed Bobby into an emptied, she looked over at Jax as she places on gloves. "Can you tell me what happened?" she asked curiously. Not needing to invade on any club business, but she does need to know what she's working with. "Look, I know some club business needs to be kept just between you guys, but I need to know what I'm working with here. I need to know what happened in order to help him."
Jax didnât like going to St. Thomas anymore because everyone there blamed him for Tara and he was far from blaming when it came to that. He had nothing to do with that. It was his mother, but no one cares. But when desperate times call for desperate measures and trying to save one of his brothers, he had to go there. Not that it was his first choice, but they were closer and he knew if he didnât get there soon, Bobby might not make it and he needed him there. He didnât want to lose him. That is why he decided against his better judgement and made the boys drive to St. Thomas and see if there was something they could do for Bobby. See if there was a way to save him.
Seeing a blonde he hasnât seen before, he figured she would be the best bet to get help for him. Everyone else turned their back and they didnât give a shit about him. He didnât care, but it was more getting the best help for Bobby being he deserved that since he has always had Jaxâs back. This doctor seemed to want to help them and that made Jax feel good about his decision going there and he rushed out and handed Bobby off to her, in hopes that they will get good news and nothing bad anymore, he couldnât handle anything else bad if he was being honest.
Nodding his head, Jax and Chibs, they lift Bobby up and put him onto the gurney for the new doctor that was there at the hospital. âPlease, do everything you can to help him. Just please, I canât lose him.â Jax was letting her know that Bobby was his brother in a way and he wanted to make sure he got the best care he could have when it came to being there. Once he was on the gurney and started getting pushed inside, Jax and Chibs followed behind in hopes that something can happen and they can get him the help he needs.
Jax doesnât know if he should tell her what happened, but they needed all the information if they were going to help him. âWell, he got taken by some guys, and they did this to him. All because of something that didnât go their way. They got to me to get to him. That is all I can say. I canât say nothing more, just please, donât let anything else happen to him and save him. He was shot. And beat. And his hand is missing.â That is all Jax knew, he didnât know what else. âI donât know what else was going on when I wasnât there. So please.â That is all he can ask of her and hope that she does something for them and hope that Bobby was taken care of and saved.
By the sound of him, he must have really cared for this man, and she was willing to do everything she could do to save him. Not because Jax had asked her so nicely, but because she was a doctor. A surgeon. Not even caring if they were with the law or against it. Her job was to protect all of her patients, to help them. No matter what they have done, which is why some of the doctors around there liked her because she did whatever it too. Willing to help anyone. As much as they didn't like her helping SAMCRO, they still admired her for helping people. No judgements, she still helped. Inside the emergency room, she had ordered someone who was training to bring Bobby in a room so they can examine him more. To stop any bleeding and to get him fixed up. She needed to have a small talk with Jax before she even continued to help him. To understand what happened to the man. And knowing a lot of people in this hospital knew SAMCRO, she had made sure if a trainee didn't do what she wanted them to do, she would get them fired. Considering everyone in the hospital had heard about SAMCRO. After when she listened to Jax speak, talk about what happened to Bobby, she let out a small smile over her lips. Placing her hand onto his arm to give him a little comfort. By the looks around the hospital, she knew that this man was indeed Jax Teller. Especially since she could hear some whispering on her helping him. Completely putting all of that aside. "Don't worry, Mr. Teller." the blonde says to the man, letting him know she knew who he was, but honestly didn't care on what people have thought. Didn't care of what he does. "I will do whatever it takes to save him for you." Letting his arm go, she pointed over towards the waiting room. "Wait over there and I will keep you updated as much as I can. I promise you." Not being like the other doctors, she actually cared for everyone who came into the doors. Just because she overheard things about someone, it doesn't actually make them into a bad person. Heck, Isabella had done some things she wasn't proud of. Walking away from Jax and the other members of SAMCRO, she went back to Bobby. The trainee already had started on helping him. Isabella started to get the bleeding stopped and once all the bleeding had stopped, she brought him over to get a scan done. To see if there was any internal injuries at all. Thankfully he didn't need anything major done. Maybe just to close his wound where he was missing the hand. Hoping he had the hand so they could see if they could reattach it, but they didn't.
Jax wasnât sure what everyone would think him bringing Bobby in, but he needed him to be saved and get the help he needs. He was in bad shape which is why he brought him there. He knew what everyone there thought of them and hasnât really been talking to them since Tara, but he just needed to make sure Bobby got the best care he could get and Jax knew he couldnât do it. He knew he wants able to give him that, so seeing someone who was newer at the hospital and knowing she could help, that is why he trust she would do her best and wouldnât hold anything else against him.
Jax and the guys followed the bed and knew they had to stop at a certain spot, and the van was being moved by a prospect who would sit there and let them know if someone else was coming int hat wasnât supposed to be there. They wanted no issue when it came to being there and getting Bobby the help he needed and the help he deserved. He knew he had to tell her what happened so she can do what was needed to save him. He felt eyes on them and knew no one wanted Isabella to help them but this was more then what had happened and saving his brothers life and making sure Bobby got out of there and they brought him home.
Nodding his head once, he knew she would try, he could tell by her eyes and seeing no one has persuaded her otherwise yet. âThank you. That is all I ask. Donât let anyone get into your head about not helping him. He didnât do anything and he didnât deserve it. So, please, just help him. I donât care about myself or anyone else. Just make sure he gets off that table and gets to go home. I owe him that.â That is true, Jax owes Bobby that being he has had his back for everything and never once turned, so he needed him there and he needed him there still.
He nodded once again and didnât want to cause anymore issues and attention towards them so he motioned with his head for the guys to follow him and they sat in the waiting room waiting to see just what was going to happen and what was going to happen to Bobby. He sat down and brought his hands together hoping that Bobby will be okay. Everyone else was nervous as well and Jax, he was just hoping she stuck to her word because he had lost all hope in this place as everyone else has really let him down when it came to being there.
It didn't matter who the people comes into the hospital were, it shouldn't matter what they've done. They still had to help because it was their job. Though, some people seems to forget about that, especially when it comes to Jax and the rest of the bike members. But Isabella? She always puts the patients first. Didn't matter what kind of people they were outside the hospital. They were hurt and needs medical care. After hearing about what happened to Bobby, she nodded. Knowing eyes on them, and none of them liked she was helping them, but it also showed she was willing to help everyone. Didn't matter what they did, which had impressed some people. "You have nothing to worry about. I will help him." the blonde replied to Jax about helping Bobby. "It would have been perfect if we got his hand so we can see if we can reattach that." Not knowing if Jax could get someone to look for it, if it had happened around the same place where they were. If it was, they could maybe go back, get it and bring it back. With her eyes only focusing on Jax, not even worrying about anyone else. She was willing to do whatever it took to save Bobby for Jax. "I'm hoping it wouldn't take long. It should be easy enough to go in and out." Having full faith that everything will be okay, the one thing she had to worry about was about getting people to help her. It wasn't like they had to operate on him, she would do that. Once she had left, she made her way down to the operating room. Cleaning herself up before entering, she cleaned her hands thoroughly. Putting a gown, gloves, mask, and her scrub cap on. Some had issues on helping, but it was either work with her or get out. Some left, but some stayed. Once everything was all settled, she had started to clean out his wound and closed it up. Checked other wounds and made sure there was no internal bleeding.
Jax knew coming there was a bad idea, but he had to get to the nearest hospital and that meant getting help soon enough for Bobby would be the save him or not deal breaker. So, Jax, he took the plunge and went there. He seen the looks but Isabella, she never once batted an eyelash to help Bobby and that is what he needed. He knew everyone else there wasnât a big fan of him and he didnât care, he was there for Bobby and hoping he can walk out of there and they make sure he is given the best chance possible.
Leaving out a lot of why this happened and what happened exactly, Jax nodded his head and he just hoped she stuck true to her words, because he couldnât lose him. He couldnât deal with another loss. He had already lost Opie, and he wasnât sure he could handle losing Bobby either. So, as long as she tried and did everything she could, then Jax wasnât going to say anything. âThank you. That is all I ask. I canât lose him. We canât lose him actually. He is the best man, So give him the best chance of walking out of here.â This was him just asking for the best for Bobby as he knew it was hard to understand what they did, but Bobby, he needed to be here.
Jax nodded again, not wasting anymore time, and him and the guys went to the waiting room and found the chairs to sit in and Jax sat down, brought his hands together and hoped that she could do this. It would take a lot to save him, but he knew she could if she had the right tools and the right environment to really just allow him to sit back and watch. His knee was bouncing and Chibs looked over at him feeling the worry radiate off of Jax. âI am okay. Just lets focus on hopefully she can save him. I canât lose someone else Chib.â He understood and didnât say anything else and he wrapped his arm around Jaxâs shoulder and they sat and waited and hoping they can make it out of there and Bobby make a full recovery.
With the blonde in the operating room with Bobby, she had made sure there was no bleeding. Closed up any wounds he had, especially she had made sure there was a perfect closure to his missing hand. Some had wondered why she was in that room with a SAMCRO member, helping them, but she didn't care what they thought. She was willing to help anyone that came through the doors, it didn't matter what they have done. She would still help no matter what. And she had hoped if she was to help everyone if they were good or bad, didn't matter what side of the law they were on, others would do the same. It didn't matter what they have done, everyone deserved the chance to survive. And that is something she wanted to show everyone. Wanted them to do, even if another SAMCRO member does come into the hospital again. About a few hours later, Isabella had made sure that Bobby had a room in the hospital. He needed to heal and also made sure he had a private room as well. Filling in her charts, she finished updating it. Normally she would inform on whoever was in the waiting room first and to get someone else to do the charting, but not even interns would fill stuff like that in because they didn't want anything to do with this case. Anything to do with Bobby and anyone else there. A deep breath, the blonde had walked out to the waiting room to where Jax and along with everyone else there. Bobby's done good. Survived and is resting now. She could tell that they all were worried especially Jax. "He's good. Just need to keep a close eye on him, but he's in recovery right now." the blonde says with a soft smile, to give them the good news.
Jax and the boys were waiting. Bobby went straight into surgery in hopes that everything that was done can be fixed. He just knew Bobby would wake up with no hand that alone was going to change so much for him. Jax just wanted him to be alive, he just knew that Bobby needed to be there and be the voice of reason for him, because right now, Jax knew if he seen who did this again, it might not even be pretty. But Jax also knew everyone in this place didnât want to help them. Luckily the blonde was new and didnât go by the rules, and it helped because now Bobby was getting the help he needed and Jax was up out of the chair not being able to just sit there and he started pacing around the room.
Time has passed and Jax was growing more impatient as it was happening. She just wanted to know how Bobby was and make sure he was okay. Maybe this was all his fault. So he owed Bobby anything he wanted right now. He felt this was all on him. Chibs was keeping an eye on Jax like he normally does and he looked at the time and mumbled under his breath as well. They all have been there all day, but he didnât care. No one was leaving until Bobby was out and he was in a room and they can see him. Just as he was pacing he heard the door open and seeing the blonde walk in. Everyone stood up and walked towards her and Jax looked at Isabella, hoping to read her for good news and wanting to make sure Bobby was good.
Feeling a relief wash over everyone as they heard those words. Bobby was good. He was in a room and he was recovering but needed to be there. Jax nodded his head and cleared his throat. âWhen can we see Him and are we allowed to stay? I donât want to leave him alone. At least not right now, being what all he has been through. We can keep eyes on him on at all times. Just one at a time. I donât want to overstep, but please understand. That is what we need to do for him. He is family and we want to make sure he is okay.â Jax wanted to try to get to where someone can sit with him at all times and make sure no one comes in and tries anything, because they all had permission to do something if that happens.
When Bobby wakes up, she knew there was a lot he would have to get use to. A lot to heal from. From what he had been through, losing a hand, it was a lot to adjust to and she was willing to help in any way she can, despite what people though of her helping them. Because she was a doctor and was willing to help anyone who was in trouble. Especially if it was the people on the wrong side of the law because they still deserved help, no matter what they have done. Standing in front of Jax, she really did admire the way how they took care of their people. They were close, and she missed having people like that for her. Last time she had was when she was in the hospital after her accident. Sure, the father of her baby was there while she was giving birth to her, but she didn't actually believed he was there for her as he practically stole the baby from her. Even though that happened ten years ago, that her baby had been missing, she could never get past that. No one could ever get past that. A soft smile towards Jax and everyone else who was with Bobby, she knew he was happy to hear about Bobby making it through. He was in recovery, recovering. However, she had made sure he was in the ICU because technically his injuries were critical. "I can only let one of you guys in right now. But as soon as visiting hours are over, I can sit with him if you want?" Knowing that may not be what he wanted, but she was willing to spend the night with Bobby so he wouldn't be alone. Willing to risk her own sleep to spend time with a patient who she rarely knew.
Jax didnât know how things got this bad. Why they went after him instead of going after someone in the club. But they get to someone who would affect Jax, and Bobby, he was close to him and now he understands. He knew they couldnât get away with this but right now, it was all about just making sure that Bobby was okay, and his surgery went well and that he would come out on the other end of this better then what he went in the hospital with. He thought he was going to lose him. Just as he was lost in his thoughts, he seen Isabella walking in and he stood up along with everyone else to see just what was going on and what happened.
They take care of one another, and he just needed to know Isabella did everything she could to make sure he was okay, and to make sure he was going to be okay. That is all he needed to know right now. He needed to know that Bobby was going to be okay. He could tell she wasnât like everyone else there, they would have let him sit on that table and not do anything. Isabella was different and she actually did her job, so he didnât need to be mad at her, he knew she did what she could and now it was all about if Bobby wanted to fight still or not.
He felt the relief wash over him when he heard that Bobby had made it. Jax was just relieved she did what she said she would and make sure he made it out of there. It was just what he needed to hear after everything else. Hearing that, Jax knew he needed to go back and see him for himself and make sure Bobby was really there and everything was going well. Nodding his head he looked at the guys and then back at her. âI will go back right now. If you donât mind I would like for one of us to be here at all times but youâre welcome to sit with him. We just need to make sure nothing happens. I am sure you understand yeah?â
Isabella was different from the others. She was the only doctor who actually stood by the oath. Though, then again if someone felt uncomfortable for helping a criminal, they shouldn't need to help. But if you rarely know the criminal, only from what people have been telling her? There was no need for her not helping in any way as she can. And can't really judge the person without knowing them first. Bobby was in the ICU at the moment was in perfect health the last time she checked. She had made sure he was very comfortable. Hearing the man, she understood that he wanted someone to be there at all times, but she can only do so much. Which is why she had been offering to stay nights when no one else could. After visiting hours. "Visiting hours, you can be with him all you want. But I can't allow you guys to be here after visiting hours. I'm sorry, I'm doing the best that I can." Isabella says softly towards him. Looking around before back at Jax, she had only hoped that would be alright for him. After all, she did save Bobby's life so that had to mean she's a good person, right? But then again, if he was worried about his safety, she did understand that. She can always put someone on his door if that helps. "I just don't want to lose my job for allowing you guys in after hours, but I will sit with him after hours. I will even get a security guard on his door if that help." the blonde asked. Trying to explain that she couldn't allow them to stay after hours. Only during hours.
Jax was worried. This was all on him. He was the one who got Bobby in this position to be looked after and left for dead for the most part. That is not something Jax was all about, but he knew they would have done something, but knowing how close Jax and Bobby were, they went after him. Jax knew he had to be there and he had to make sure Bobby was going to make it because he doesnât think he could go on if something worst happened to him. He knew when he woke up he would be asking questions and Jax wasnât even sure he got the answers, but he owes it to Isabella for keeping her word and keeping him alive and just letting his body heal.
But Jax had tried to pull strings to see him around the clock, but he knew he was pushing it. They could be there with visiting hours, and it is after visiting hours he doesnât know what he is going to do. He didnât know how this was going to work. He was just mad that he couldnât be there, but Isabella did more then what others would have done so he had to respect that and he nodded his head. âIs there a way we can have someone there with him overnight? I donât trust someone wonât come in and finish the job if they know he is alive. So I need someone here. Or we can dress someone up as a nurse?â Maybe he shouldnât have said the last part, but he was trying to really get someone there around the clock to watch over Bobby to make sure he was okay.
He understood that too. She was already on the list for helping them, so Jax wasnât one to make her lose her job. âI get it, really. You did more then what anyone would have done here, so I donât know what we can do. I just need to make sure he is good when we arenât here. You donât know the guys who did this and as you can see, they will do anything. So, I am trying to find something and if you can work something out, then I will allow that. You worked hard to fix him and I thank you for that.â Jax finally felt his shoulder slack a little more knowing Bobby is okay but Isabella was trying somethings to help them know that Bobby would be looked after around the clock.
Jax was worried, she can see that on his face. Not knowing him very well, but she can see a look on a face when they're worried. Being a doctor for a while, she start to recognize the looks. Whether it was a patient that was worried or a family member to the patient. Even though Jax and his brothers wasn't blood relation to Bobby, she understood their relation to one another. Something she wished she could get once again. Even if she could bring her daughter back, if she could find her. That was all she wished she could do. Just missing having people around. If it was up to Isabella, the blonde would allow someone to stay inside the room with him. Allow one of his brothers to stay there with him. Doing all what she could do, she can only allow SAMCRO into Bobby's room during visiting hours and not after because she could get into trouble, which she didn't want to happen. "I can stay here at night if you want." Not knowing why he couldn't just allow her to stay with him while off visiting hours. It probably was the closest trust he had inside the hospital, especially since she saved Bobby's life like no one else would. "Look. I'll sit with him at night and I'll even keep security outside, to make sure nothing happens. I can even give you a call if anything happens." Unlike anyone else, no one would help Jax or his club. People may look at her for helping, may not be happy about her, but she didn't care. Bobby was injured and she was there to help. "You have nothing to worry about because I will make sure he'll live. I got him covered." Isabella responded to him with a soft smile. Hoping he would understand and let her. "Look. I really can't let you guys inside after visiting hours, but it helps, maybe you can have someone sitting outside on the parking lot. I can give you information on every entrance we have and then have someone sitting there." it was the only suggestion she can give. Mostly the only option.
Jax hated this happened to Bobby. He wasnât happy that he made this happen. People did this to get to Jax and he knew that. He knew everything that happened was because of him. Not that he would dismiss that because honestly, he knew he was the one who made everyone suffer everything that has happened. This wasnât the first time someone go the shit end of everything because of him. But Bobby, he was his guy, and he hated to see him this way. So Jax was worried and hew as worried of what might happen if he doesnât pull through. This is the one thing that he doesnât want to think about but things are unpredictable as well, and that means he doesnât know what is going to happen until Bobby is ready for them to know.
But they werenât able to stay overnight. They werenât able to go in after hours. That was frustrating. He just wanted to keep eyes on him at all times. That was the only way, if someone came in then she couldnât stop them from finishing the job they started. Not that he wanted that, but he just knew she didnât know what was coming if they knew where they were. âI just need eyes on him at all times. We donât know what is going to happen. We donât know if someone is looking for him. So, I need to make sure nothing else happens to him. You have to ensure me nothing else is going to happen. Because if it does, I wonât be happy and this whole hospital will know that.â
Okay maybe not his best move, but this is Bobby and this is life or death at this point, and Jax wanted to make sure that Isabella understood that. âJust, thank you for doing this, but if anything happens I need to know as soon as you can. I trust you to make sure he lives, but I canât trust anything else until we can see him. You understand that right? It isnât against you, it is just, he is family, and I want to make sure we stay that way with him walking out of this place.â He just needed to makes sure she took this serious as well because if something else happens, Jax doesnât think he will be able to stay as calm as he right now. He is worried but he doesnât want to do anything just yet. He just wants to make sure Bobby is okay.
Bobby was alive and in the ICU, recovering from the surgery he had. He was living and getting the help he needs. That was all Isabella cared for. She was willing to be by the man's side of Jax needed her to. And since she was practically in the hospital all the time, she could just sleep at the hospital at night time and be there for him when he needed her to. To keep an eye on him. Even if it was to sleep in his room, she could do that. "Look. You have nothing to worry about. I'll sleep here tonight and every night until he gets better. If that's what you want? You can have all the entrances to the hospital to make sure nothing will happen. And I'll also give you my number so you can keep in touch with me at night time." Isabella was offering everything she could. Grabbing her note pad from her pocket, a pen. She had written her number onto the paper. Her name as well. First and last name in case he wanted to know. Handing off the paper, she looks over towards him. "My cell phone number. I always have it on me, so you can catch me anytime you want." Doors, phone number was all she can offer at night time. She would get security to keep an eye out as well. But that was all she could really do and to also focus on Bobby's medical care. She was going to try whatever she can to make sure Bobby lives. Stays alive. "Of course. But you can see him now if you want. Visiting hours doesn't end for a few hours yet. And I also need to get you those locations to the entrances so you can keep watch of those too." Isabella replied softly towards the man.
Jax was just grateful that Bobby was alive. He knew it could have been worst and they could have been putting him six feet under. But he also knew he couldnât push and be there all the time because they didnât allow people to stay all the time. Jax needed to get back to take care of the people who did this to him. That is the only thing he can do is allow her to be there and make sure no one comes and finishes the job. That is the only thing that Jax was worried about. That is the thing he knew they were all worried about.
âThank you. really. Just, I worry because these guys that did this, they wonât stop until he is gone, and I canât really risk that, so thank you for wanting to do this. I just â I donât know what would happen if something happened to him. So, you keep an eye on him and we will make sure you are rewarded. Just make sure no one hurts him. That is your only job for me.â He looks down and takes the paper and he folds it up and put it into his pocket. And nodding once at her.
Knowing that is all she could offer, Jax knew he had to take it and he was going to take it because he knew she would do everything she could to make sure he was okay. But Jax wouldnât admit, he was scared she couldnât save him. And she did so he was more relieved that she did and he wanted nothing more then to thank her. âThank you so much, just let us know when visiting hours are done and we will be out of your hair. Just you donât know what this means to us. So thank you.â
Being all Jax could say and he grabbed the guys and nodded at her once, and he walked with the boys down to the room that Bobby was in and he let them in first and then he followed and took in the scene in front of him and he was hurting for Bobby. He couldnât help but be in pain seeing him laying there.
Jax may think this was all on him, it truly wasnât. It was a lot like she believed that the accident she and her boyfriend was in, it was all on him dying. She blamed herself for her boyfriend, her best friend and her best friends boyfriend all dying. She was the only one who survived in the accident. She was the one who wanted to go take a week of a vacation with them after they graduated, they agreed. And she couldnât help but to wonder if they didnât go, they would still be alive. She could maybe tell Jax about her situation. About her thinking she was responsible of the death of her people. If he wanted to blame himself for what happened to Bobby. It could maybe make him feel better. Or at least try to. She could see it on his face he was blaming himself. She knew what that looked like. She had that same face on her face when she was in that accident. âLook. You shouldnât blame yourself for this. It's not your fault. I know what itâs like to blame yourself. I still blame myself everyday for my boyfriends death. For my best friends death.â Isabella confessed. Something she didnât like talking about, but she believed it would help. A deep breath, she looks towards Jax. Knowing he didnât trust anyone there, or having anyone coming in to finish the job. Honestly, with her agreeing for staying with Bobby the entire night, she didnât know how to fight back if something like that did happen. But she wasnât sure how they can dress someone up in a nurse or even a security guard for standing outside the door because all the doctors and nurses knew what they all looked like. She could try and help out with that, but she wasnât sure how it would work out. âHonestly, I can see if we can make that work. About someone being dressed up in scrubs or even a security guard to where they can stand outside the room door. As I said I was going to sit with Bobby for you. But this entire hospital knows all of you. Even dressing either one of you guys up in that wouldnât help.â His idea wasnât a bad idea, she just didnât think it would work. There was nothing else she could do. She had to get the hospital security to keep an eye out. She would stay there with Bobby, and she wouldnât allow anyone inside the room except if it's her. A small list. Her only if that would make Jax happy. She would do everything. No other doctors or nurses. Unless if thereâs something wrong, she would get others to help, but it wouldnât be without her knowledge on whoâs helping. If she knew the person, if she knows theyâre with the hospital, then sheâll allow them in the room. Sheâll make sure sheâll take a good look on the nurse who helps. If she needs it. âI promise it will only be me in the room. No other nurses or doctors. Just me. Unless if something does happen, Iâll take a second look at them and make sure they do indeed work with the hospital. Iâll only keep people on the room I know. A guard will be on his door, I promise you that.â âVisiting hours starts at nine in the morning until eight at night. If you want, you can come back then.â Isabella responded towards Jax, knowing he will be there first thing in the morning. She will have to sleep in the room with Bobby, which as soon as she hears noise, or movement, she will wake up instantly. She would give Jax and his boys alone time with Bobby for a few hours before the visiting time was over. Sheâd check up on them a few times while they were there to make sure everything was going okay. Bobby was staying stable, which was a good thing.
If there was one thing about Jax, he will always blame himself if something happened to one of the guys. Heâs their president and itâs on him to keep them safe and keep them to a point where this doesnât happen. He was reckless and got Bobby hurt. One of his most loyal right hand man, and thatâs why it happened. They knew who Bobby was to him, so this situation was all on him. Jax hates it, and he feels helpless if heâs being honest. He didnât know what to do, so, that means he just going to pace until he knows everything else. âThatâs the thing. Itâs my responsibility to keep my guys safe, and I have one laying in this hospital bed, so yes, I do blame myself. I blame myself more than you think. Itâs hard not to. My other guys donât blame me, but I blame myself. It shouldâve been me.â
Jax was being honest, he wished it was me. Itâd be a lot easier if he was being honest. The only thing now, is that he didnât trust someone wouldnât come and finish the job. They didnât leave him lifeless, but since Bobby canât fight back right now he wasnât sure they would leave it be as Bobby can talk when heâs better. But his doctor planning on staying with him, Jax thinks he can trust her enough to leave for the night but he has a couple of request, hoping she can comply to that. âI just need to make sure heâs okay, and nothing happens when I leave. I wouldnât be able to live with myself if that happened. So, see what you can do please and my number will be here, you can call me anytime with updates or if you have questions about someone, I would need a description. I know what everyone looks like. You think you can do that for me?â
This was him leaving this in her hands. She was the only one who has went above and beyond because the whole hospital thinks they get what they deserve. So he was trusting her to not be like everyone else in that hospital and turn her back on him once he left. âI just canât have you turn into everyone else and turn your back on me once I leave. I need to know you wonât do that and they wonât make you do that.â Jax wasnât always vulnerable, but this was Bobby he was talking about and he couldnât let anything else happen to him. He wouldnât know what to do if he didnât get out of there. But nodding his head he knew visiting hours were over.
âJust call me if anything changes please.â Jax started to walk from the room, and be looked back at Bobby one last time feeling the pain seeing the older man like that knowing this was on him. Heâd be back early morning to check on him, and hopefully Isabella keeps her word and she get ahold of him overnight and tells him what happens if anything changes. He wanted updates. And as he turned around he walked out and closed the door checking his surroundings before he walked away to meet the others in the waiting room so they can leave.
