from day one carol elizabeth marcus rejected the mold that society wanted for her. she rejected the notion that woman were inferior to men & did something about it. carols father alexander marcus was an arms dealer , killed by the hands one of his customers after producing false product. young carol was only thirteen at the time, already plans in mind to join the family business. the london raised girl attended university in paris learning & adapting herself to french culture. she was a science major at the top of her class, who could have gone places if not for family ties.
but that didn’t bring her spirts down, that only gave her the desire to fix the mess her fathers mess. the marcus business was closed for sometime going into hibernation since her fathers passing , her stepmother wanted to shut it down for good. carol did not let that happen. she would be an advocate for good & use his advancements to help peace keep.
her dreams failed her & miss carol marcus got herself caught up in a world she couldn’t ever have imagined. power got to her head, riches & fame were all she was after now. she was the best supplier for weapons around & one day she stopped caring what they were used for. eventually her organization was turned into something of a secret society, much like the artemis carol later gets membership too.
it takes some traumatic events to turn carol back into her side of peace keeping. shes never watched anyone die before, never anyone so innocent. there was a boy in the streets a victim of gun violence begging for someone to help. & it got her thinking about her work. she wanted to help people, not harm them. she wanted to change the world ---- not harm it.
carol disappears from the crime scene & attends nursing school under the alias of lisa mayheart. eventually she ends up back at the artemis only this time blonde, a new identity & with an application in hand. everyone is on the hunt for miss carol marcus & she will not allow herself to get caught.

carol was a brunette before the fall. she dyed her hair blonde as part of her cover ( mentioned at the end )
most people in the crime scene know what carol marcus looks like which is why she has facial reconstruction done.
no one knows shes carol but i would be open to plots that reveal it somehow, it requires plotting though !!!
knees tuck up to her side as head is gently placed in carol’s lap. one hand takes the blonde’s into her own, stroking her fingers. the other hand she guides to rest atop her head and thread through dark locks. it had been a long day.

SHES USED TO moving fast . rarely does carol ever have a moment to step back & relax . somewhere quiet to just unwind & not have her mind running a million miles an hour . this is the first time her & jim have a quiet dinner to themselves really . she works too much & most of their quality time is her sleeping & jim carrying her caffeine crashed keister to the bedroom . & when they do have a proper moment together they are generally in others company , socializing with crew or being wildly drunk . carol could always out drink her boyfriend , which still never fails to make her laugh .
