Sorry it's been forfreakingever. Started working on my thesis and realized I haven't picked up my drawing pen in ages. I forgot how to draw.
Knowing that trans women of color started the movement in the united states and were literally immediately erased and excluded from what they started is the most deeply jading knowledge.
It is the original sin of the so-called queer community and it damns it from the cradle.
no white gay boy will ever reblog this, watch:
no white gay will reblog this
no white lgb person will reblog this
Without Stonewall, without the efforts of Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, the LGBTQ Community wouldn’t be where it is today. Don’t forget the roots, don’t forget the catalyst.
and then TERFs wanna be like, “hmm well the LGBT community existed before Stonewall!”
but like…Becky, of course LGBTQ+ people existed before Stonewall. We’ve all existed since the beginning of time. But the movement got a shock to its senses, a jump-start, a rocket-into-space when that glass shattered via Marsha P. Johnson, and when Sylvia Rivera was up on-stage protesting guess who was on the sidelines heckling her?
The same fuckers who won’t ever reblog or acknowledge this
My apologies to the original poster as I photo captured this post to add to the thread-I reposted this last year for pride and expect to repost it every year I have left-it’s our history people.
Marsha P. Johnson allegedly died of suicide in 1992, and her death was never investigated. Even I, a mere prole, could catch the “she was murdered” vibes from the circumstances surrounding the discovery of her body.
Without a trans black woman, LGBT+ rights would not exist. Never forget. Never “pay it no mind”.
R E M E M B E R
And whatever you do, don’t watch that awful movie Stonewall. Go watch a documentary on Marsha P. Johnson instead.
there’s a wonderful documentary on netflix called the death and life of marsha p. johnson! very powerful watch.
every white person ever should reblog this

This is a feature of US politics which has been getting more prominent over the past 20 years—GOP voters are not treated as if they have agency. They are seen as people who are bound to make bad voting decisions and have bad policy preferences. In the media and in peoples conversations this is an implicit framing. It’s usually not as transparent as comparing them to cockroaches. Right wingers are definitely aware of this dynamic
This post isn't talking about voters, it's talking about politicians. You can vote as hard as you want but if neither set of politicians is interested in helping or protecting you, you're fucked.
One set of those politicians theoretically answers to you and sees you as their constituents. You ideally have influence over this set.
One set sees the masses of people who want to hurt you as their constituents. You have no influence over this set.
Only one of those sets is actually doing what their constituents want. This is a problem.
Hey by the way if you're an American and you're against the war, it's your duty to call out the shit that is insane and monstrous and wrong.
If someone says something that you know to be wrong, say something. Push back on it. Iran didn't start this war. They haven't been at war with the US for forty seven years. The US didn't have to support Israel's strikes with this kind of escalation (we haven't in the past, in fact Trump hasn't in the past). The Iranian people are not looking to the US as liberators. The Strait of Hormuz was always going to be used tactically in this way, it is absurd to suggest that the Iran would open it because it is the single best method of leverage they have to resist annihilation from a superpower. Bombing civilian infrastructure is a war crime. Saying that an entire culture will be destroyed is genocidal.
There is no moral reason for the US to do this, the reasons that the US is doing this are oil and to destabilize the region. Hubris, cruelty, and a vile old man who wants to give himself a hero's legacy play a part as well.
You should be saying out loud to the people around you "This war is unjust, unnecessary, and cruel, and every reason our leaders are giving us to tell us why we're doing it is a lie."
People should know you feel this way. Some people will feel the same way, and it will be good for you and for them to know that you're not alone. Some people will NOT feel this way and it will be good for them to know that there are people all around them who haven't bought into the violent propaganda of empire.
Simple things to say to push back:
There is no justification for bombing water and power infrastructure for ninety million people; that will kill thousands of civilians and is a war crime.
Iran was bombed while they were negotiating with the countries that bombed them; they were willing to make the agreements requested by the US and Israel before they were bombed.
The Strait was open in February. If the US and Israel hadn't attacked Iran there would have been no reason for Iran to close it.
You can't be an "imminent threat" for forty seven years, so either Trump is lying about the immanency or is lying about Iran being at war with us for half a century.
Correct! If you are enlisted you made one really bad decision already, you don't have to make more. You can become a conscientious objector if possible, but if that's not possible it is better to refuse orders and go to prison than to participate in atrocity.
i feel like the rest of that tweet should be shown:
‘Possible nuclear use in Iran: UN-linked diplomat Mohamad Safa, the Main Representative of Patriotic Vision (PVA) at the United Nations, has
Yeah, just so we have an actual source and not a picture of a twitter post. Be sure to check sources! This is real though. Spread wide.
[Image Description: first image: tweet by Nerdeen Kiswani, @ NerdeenKiswani, that says "He resigned from the U.N. and ended his diplomatic career to leak the fact they're preparing for a nuclear weapon to bomb Iran. We are not doing enough to stop this." This is in reply to a tweet by Mohamad Safa, verfied, @ MHDKsafa. The entirety of the tweet makes up the rest of the images, and says
"I don't think people understand the gravity of the situation as the U.N is preparing for possible nuclear weapon use in Iran.
This is a picture of Tehran. For you uneducated, untraveled, never-served, warhawks licking your chops at the thought of bombing it. It's not some low population desert. There are families, children, family pets. Regular working class people with dreams. You're sick to want war.
Tehran is a city with nearly ten million people. Imagine nuking Washington, Berlin, Paris, London, or beyond, bombed with nuclear weapons.
I gave up my diplomatic career to leak this information. I suspend my duties so as to not be part of or a witness to this crime against humanity, in an attempt to prevent a nuclear winter before it's too late.
Yesterday, nearly ten million people protested 'No Kings' in the United States. The possibility of nuclear weapons must be taken very seriously. It's dangerous. Act now. Spread this message worldwide. Take the streets. Only the people can stop it. History will remember us." Beneath the tweet is a skyline photo of part of the metropolitan city of Tehran, filled with houses and skyscrapers an stretching out towards mountains. End I.D]

Have you looked up towards the sky as of late? When I look up towards the sky, I can feel invisible threads; they pull and tug in different directions, and I am oftentimes at a loss for where to go. My heart is called to a thousand other realms, a thousand other people, and yet, it struggles to find itself. I struggle to find myself.
But the sky, whether it is tumultuous and grey or clear, blue, and bright; whether it is filled with a million stars I can or cannot see or a relentless sun that never ceases to try to cast its warm glow upon me; no matter the sky and all its colors, I am reassured that somewhere out there, I am found. Perhaps the answer lies in a place, a bustling city or a cool forest. Perhaps the answer lies in a single heart, a single soul whose life has been spent waiting for mine. Perhaps it simply lies in fragments, and my journey crossing both land and sea has all been simply that: a journey to find myself. Whatever the case, I am sure I will come across the answer to who I am one day.
No matter where this journey has taken you, you will find yourself. No matter the paths you have taken, the regrets and indecision, the grief of leaving something behind, you will find yourself. Look up at the sky, and see not emptiness, but a space to fill with endless possibilities of who you could be.
Also I didn't mention it back when I watched it but GAHHH watching Juni and Christine's interactions unfold and Christine being CLOSE to waking up and talking about the Grace Killer before being hush hushed again makes me SO unwell. There's something to love about all of the DMP cast and the way these characters interact with each other but Juniper and Christine definitely have something special as the ones whose wishes are directly tied to each other and dependent on both of them remaining in the games.
(Disclaimer, I think I have reached the point where it's been so long since my last DMP relisten how ever many years ago it was that my memory of specific character moments are gone. So I'm going to mostly just treat this like a live react.)
But good grief.
DMP S2E3: There's something very special to me about how earnest Percy Blackwood is. How he truly put his whole heart into what he loves and how he cares so much for other people.
I really do love how excited he was about the Space Ship and the brand new game mechanics that everyone was learning. And he was placed in charge as captain as well! (Poor Grace. Poor Vinny. But hey at least we had some INCREDIBLE rolls and the MAGNIFICENT Tames T. Jerk romance plot!)
And there's something so sweet about seeing someone so excited about seeing things they never would have seen before, even if in context, it is slightly worrying; why would Percy ever want to leave the games if he could always see and do and experience things he never would have on the farm? The Awakened are sick of all this shit? They're calling MG's games 'repetitive'?! They want to leave?!?! Oh no! Conflict!!!
I'm jumping ahead, but I do think about Percy's line from Season 4 Episode 6 every so often:
There’s no right path and no wrong path. All that matters is that I pick a road.
And it's interesting to think about that line waaaaay back when he's introduced here in S2E3 because of the combination of uncertainty (having Vincent guide him into calling certain shots- though part of this could be more reflective of the high-stakes scenario and the extremely unfamiliar environment) and excitement that Percy has.
Because in this first full scenario where he's closer to being Awake, there are people counting on him to make the right decisions for them to survive (and some of these folks who seemed to know what they were doing on the Murder Express suddenly seem to be at a loss as well!). But it's also so thrilling as well, and you can see this conflict play out between amazement that he - Percy Blackwood, the farm boy and dreamer and artist - could ever get to see sights like an intergalactic spaceship battle.
So really, the paths before him feel so new! He's trailblazing! It's scary and it's thrilling and it's fun and he puts his whole heart into this experience of his dreams.
And then we get back to our regularly scheduled horrors.
And then RILEYYYY (I can't wait to get to Riley).
I can't wait to have room in my life and my brain for more DMP and more fanart.
Not a clean recording (you'll hear misc background house chatter), but while file rummaging, I found some improvisations/variations of a song I wrote years ago for some OCs.
2025 -> 2026
The more I look back on it, this year was full of so many ups and downs between school, work, and my personal life. There were a lot of changes and a lot of unexpected things outside of my control, for better or worse. But also a lot of personal realizations + reflections.
On the bright side, I've found more self-confidence and more firm footing in terms of my place in my community and who I want to be, which is crazy because I've had a lot of difficulty thinking about the future. I think the political climate has definitely pushed me towards the direction I need to go in.
So we're going to keep working towards that. And I'm going to commit to making more things. I'm closer to figuring out a process that works for my brain and low energy (and I'm closer to getting an ADHD diagnosis! Bless!), and I want to keep making things and get better at what I love to do.
Resolutions
art like I've never arted before (ArtFight PROPERLY)
write more & read more (at least 10 non-uni books)
at least 3 covers (UTAU or otherwise)
finish composing one song
get back into the theater scene on campus
commit to learning another language
try weightlifting
(+ maybe make that PNGtuber)
Also note to future self, good luck with those grad apps. You got this. Be kind to yourself. We've another year farther along than we thought we'd get, so let's keep the momentum going.
DMP relisten recommences at S2E1 while I grind through work.
i distinctly remember watching the stream of crimes drawing the intro song art, kind of feeling crazy relistening and seeing it
every time i look at the background i have the distinct image of these werecorgis running around at night chasing people and running straight into a floating 'shutterstock' logo.
"polyamory is cool in cobbleford but it's also come with twice the heartbreak" is such a underrated line good lord i'm dying.
it really would've been funny if Internet Remix got sponsored by Claritin.
