Destiny
Not unlike the sheikah, Link was most certainly not a wordy male…In fact, he’d have liked it if one of his fairy companions could take it upon themselves to pop up and translate his thoughts into words so he didn’t have to. The probable cause lying in his being surrounded by those with harsh tongue, such as the troop members which consisted of mostly men. Growing up in a mostly predominantly male society, his own speech could be taken as obnoxious, cocky and even rude at times. It wasn’t how he wanted to display himself; though considering Sheik had the ability to see past even the pointy-eared hylian’s silence, it didn’t bother him to speak too much in front of him. Always speaking in riddles and never getting straight to the point was Sheik’s way and it always enticed an eyeroll from Link. Almost too comfortable in the presence of the other, casually, arms shot up to cross behind his head, an arched eyebrow given as he impatiently awaited what it was the male wanted to say. It was really hard to get used to the idea that Sheik was the Princess and vice versa. While he acted tense and nervous around Zelda, Sheik got the side of him that simply didn’t care. They were both males after all. Undivided attention was provided and obvious interest in what the beautifully red eyed male was doing. Curiosity piqued, Link’s arms fell back down to his sides as he leaned in closer to get a better look at his now revealed face, a slight tint of pink making their way on his cheeks. "—-Wait what…?” Snapped out of his momentary fascination with his appearance, an eyebrow snapped upward. That was impossible, wasn’t it? For danger to loom in the same place twice? He’d never heard of such a case in the past—-Though, he wasn’t complaining. Looking back to the sword once again, a sort of childish light was brought into his eyes. He was needed again…? "I’ve heard of that tale before—-But,” Attention drawn back once again, he shook his head. "Drawing the sword without something actually having happened… Wouldn’t that awaken the bad as well…?" It was his way of confirming that it was definitely alright, though his almost dulled tone had definitely changed from a few moments ago.
Perhaps it was the fact that it was easier to speak as Sheik that the Princess chose to utilize her abilities; to be him instead. Not to mention this was the easiest way to sneak out of the palace without being noted. Ever since she was a child, Sheik was the scapegoat Princess Zelda used to get a moment's reprieve. If you were born with such an ability to manipulate what gender you chose to be, why not utilize it? For the first time since childhood; the mysterious youth allowed his face to be exposed. With features soft as a girl's, it wasn't a wonder he kept them hidden beneath the confines of a mask, he was already effeminate enough.
Chuckling softly at his staring, he found it appropriate to return his mask to it's place, if only to tease the other by giving him only a moment to see. "A new evil has begun to arise, Hero." He retorted, glancing back to the blade in the pedestal. "Think of this as the Princess' authorization to do so. That's why I've come here." Keeping his back turned, he crossed his arms over his chest, leaning to one side. "It was through much deliberation that the Princess came to this decision, less I wouldn't be here..." Glancing back, his ruby eyes glimmered slightly. "Draw your sword, Hero. Hyrule needs you once again. I doubt you'll be refusing? Or perhaps the Princess should seek help... elsewhere?" What fun was it if you couldn't tease the great hero once in a while?
