How One’s Sexuality Is Dependant On Circumstance

Hanzo is homosexual and monogamous, and his attraction towards people tends to stem more from their character than by physical appearance alone. If he finds that he is attracted to someone he will consider it for quite some time before attempting to pursue them. Hanzo also doesn’t care for casual hook-ups all too often, although he is not against them. Hanzo will not tolerate others’ friendly gestures such as arm tapping, hand touching, shoulder clapping etc until he is comfortable enough to requite them. Otherwise, expect a swift reprimand. The same rule goes for those attempting to touch his most precious possessions.

Despite his reserved nature, Hanzo is open to flirtation although he can easily misapprehend another’s advances for friendliness or even as an insult against him. Although initial attraction is definitely needed for him to initiate this, and he is very specific with who he sleeps with.

How One Is Often Without Intimacy

Given the influence of his father’s apparent dismissal of his brother in favour of other concerns, Hanzo’s own attitude towards relationships has deviated from the traditional outlook. To many, an intimate, sexual and/or romantic relationship with another or persons that is bred from love and devotion is what people seek in their lives. For Hanzo, it is not this desire to love another and ‘be one’ with another that motivates him to initiate relationships with others, but something else that closely resembles this intimacy.

It is friendship: the mutual appreciation and respect for one another through firm bonds by trusting them entirely and disclosing vulnerabilities. This is what Hanzo believes is important. Though as a private individual with an apparent dislike to disclose anything truly personal about himself, this can cause quite a strain on developing relationships. Therefore, as to not waste his time nor another’s, Hanzo doesn’t commonly befriend people and is not quick to respond to courteous advances. Not that such a thing is impossible to achieve, it just takes patience and dedication on both sides for it to work. Sexual intimacy is an option though not a necessity for Hanzo in those that he chooses to have a relationship with. He’d appreciate an honest relationship with affection expressed platonically than a relationship whose intimacy is only shown through sexual act. Hanzo is a thinker, and relies on logic than emotion to sustain a relationship. He can be, more often than not, quite content to be left in his own world.

How One’s Personality Influences His Actions

Independent, reserved and collected, Hanzo’s outward presence may strike intimidation in some, and admiration in others. In retrospect, Hanzo possesses an indomitable will that is rarely shaken despite deeply regretting his past actions. Hanzo will not hesitate in voicing his opinion freely, although he is clever, and will not show his cards until the opportune moment arises before him. Hanzo is an old soul that is displeased with his current circumstances and constantly pursues change. Despite temptations, Hanzo tends to abstain from retreating back into old habits out of comfort, and is constantly searching for difficult and sometimes confrontational scenarios in order to better himself.

| About The Mun & Important Things To Note |

–The Mun– Mun is 21+, so NSFW material will be posted and tagged accordingly. I am willing to write smut, but only with Muns over the age of 18. I’m friendly and approachable (well I try) although I have a short attention span and may on occasion forget threads and/or reply to ask responses promptly. At times, I may respond to one specific thread at a time. I can’t help this, and I apologise. If the muse is strong for one thread over another, I will reply to said thread more regularly.

However! I will not readily drop threads unless I really don’t have the muse for them. I suspect that this blog’s activity will fluctuate often, and the Mun has a tendency to leave unexpectedly for a few days. Don’t be alarmed by this, for I always return.

I do accept starters, and jumping into my ask to plot is always welcome unless I have declared that I am not accepting new threads (this will be written in my description or in a post). I am a selective roleplayer. It really depends on how responsive my muse is.

I do not write starters with the intention of Hanzo becoming involved with another muse. The exception to this rule is if Hanzo has already met your muse and we have plotted something that concerns the possibility of their relationship becoming something more. It truly depends on chemistry, and a relationship can not be forced as Hanzo is generally averted to the idea anyway.

–The Muse– Please note that ic =/= ooc. I repeat: in-character opinions do not equal out-of-character opinions. I can not stress this enough, so please, do not be offended by how Hanzo reacts to your muse. I write my muse to how he would react to the situation. I will not tame him to suit you.

I will be using his multiple visages in different verses. For instance: demon/oni hanzo for one verse will be completely separate to his canon human one. This also applies to any ABO/Werwolf/Vampire etc AU-specific verses!
