The wild side of Washington, DC.
Today I traded city streets for elephant herds, orangutans, lions, and a tiger at the National Zoo.
There’s something surreal about spending the day photographing wildlife while knowing you're still right in the middle of Washington. Concrete and politics outside the gates; forests, animals, and wild instincts inside.
A different kind of DC adventure. 🐘🌿📸
There's something about parking the bike after a long ride and simply watching the sky change colors. No destination left to reach. No rush. Just the sound of the evening settling in and the reminder that some of life's best moments happen between the miles.
Chasing the Light
A meadow waking up to golden sunbeams and floating sparks of light.
Secrets hidden deep within the overgrowth. Centuries-old stone reclaimed by the forest.
The day’s final curtain call over the water, framed by silhouettes of leaves.
Captured moments of quiet magic.
“Leave the old you behind.”A reminder scratched into a mirror, trapped in a moving box between floors. There is something intensely poetic about transitioning. You enter as one person, the doors close, the cables pull, and you step out into a completely different atmosphere. The rain on the wood is just an illusion of the print, but it feels like a storm brewing inside.
Golden hour reminds me that the world doesn't have to be extraordinary to be beautiful.
The light changes, the shadows grow longer, and everyday places become something worth stopping for.
There's always a moment before the next step.
The world doesn't change in that moment.
You do.
Cities leave scars.
Not everything abandoned is empty.
Sometimes the most interesting places are the ones everyone else walks past.

The sky has a way of saying what words can't.
We spend so much of our lives trying to outrun storms, but nature never does. It simply lets them pass.
Standing here, watching sunlight pour through layers of dark clouds, I was reminded that light doesn't erase the storm—it finds a way through it.
Maybe that's true for us, too.
We aren't defined by the darkest moments we face, but by the light we choose to notice when they begin to break.
There are days when everything feels muted, and then something catches your eye—a flower, a sunset, a moment—and suddenly the world isn't quite so gray.
That's what I wanted to capture with these edits. The yellow blooms aren't just the subject; they're a reminder that beauty doesn't disappear when life feels dull. Sometimes, it simply asks us to look a little closer.
Low tide has a way of revealing what was always there.
