“wh-No, I was just going home..to my house..I live across the street and-” I get cut off by Louise laughing. 

“Calm down, I was joking” She looks over at my house for a moment “Though you do seem to be on the wrong side of the street.” I feel relieved when she laughs. At least she doesn’t actually think I was following her.

“Yeah, I just kinda zoned out I guess, I seem to be doing that a lot lately. I’ve just been distracted by” I can’t tell her that she’s been the distraction. “actually I don’t know whats been distracting me but- I’m rambling, aren’t I? I’m just gonna go home now.” Well that was embarrassing. Whenever I get nervous I just talk…a lot. I turn to walk away but stop when I hear Louise 

“see you later, I guess” I start to open my mouth but for some reason I just walk away instead. If I started talking, I would just start rambling again and no one wants that.

As I’m walking home, I find myself walking behind Louise. It’s not weird if I just happen to be walking the same way, right? It’s not like I’m following her or anything. I need to stop letting June get into my head, I look at one girl and suddenly she calls me a weirdo. That doesn’t even make sense. 

“Are you following me, little lamb?”

I freeze, Louise had stopped walking and is now turned around. I hadn’t even noticed that I had accidentally been walking behind her. Now I seem like a weirdo to her. Why does this keep happening.

This time I know I’m zoned out. I’m aware that Junes talking, but I’m not paying attention. 

“Hey! You’re not allowed to be gay for some girl while I’m talking to you. Especially when I just listened to your terrible date story” Well now she has my full attention. I look at her and expect her to be joking, but she looks serious

“What? I’m not bein- I’m not gay” she just rolls her eyes at me. 

“Oh please. You’re so obvious” No I’m not. 

“When-” no “How? How did you know” She had never said anything like this before. I keep expecting her to laugh or something but shes not. 

“You really think I wouldn’t know my best friend was into ladies? It’s not like you zone out and day dream while staring at girls like a weirdo stalker.” I know she was being sarcastic but I still feel the need to be defensive.

“I do not! And I’m not gay..I like guys too..I don’t know, I just like people I guess.”  She smiles at me. Not like she laughing or making fun of me..she just looks happy. Before I can question her

“Do you even know her?”

“Uh, yeah. We aren’t like friends or anything but I’ve talked to her a few times. She just started going to school with us, I think.” I try my best to sound nonchalant, but I sneer at June to hide my smile. “I’ve never seen her before.”

“Bailey!” I’m suddenly aware of June yelling at me. I don’t know how long I’ve been zoned out, but it was long enough for her to notice. I hum a response, so she knows I heard her. 

“Are you even listening to me?” Nope. Not listening at all

“Uh, yeah. Sure”

I dont know what I was so focused on before. Glancing around, my eyes lock on a girl, standing inside the cafe. I think I know her. She turns towards the counter and I finally see her face. I do know her, she started school with us like a week ago. I’ve only ever talked to her when shes asks me where a classroom is. I know her name is Louise, I remember seeing it when she was asking about something on her schedule. I’m zoning out again.

“I guess I kinda thought I liked him too. But I realised I just liked the idea of someone liking me. But when he said we were on a date, I freaked out internally because I don’t want to date him” I can tell that June is thinking about what I just said. Shes more considerate that most people think…at least to me. 

“I understand.. that makes a lot of sense actually”…does it really though? It barely made sense to myself.  “Now I just hope hes not weird about it” 

Thats my main concern. I don’t want to mess up my friendship with him, and I don’t want want to go on another date with him

“What if he asks you out again? You gonna turn him down?” Its like she can hear what I’m thinking. 

“It’s not gonna be fun. I basically have to explain that I used him for affection” I huff and lay my head down on the table.  This is so dumb..am I being dramatic?

“You make everything sound so dramatic” I look up and glare at her. I really wish she would stop saying what I’m thinking. 

“Maybe I should become a poet” She puts her hand up to her chin and pretends to be in deep thought. 

“Then you could write Ben a poem about not liking him..or just tell him you don’t want to date. whichevers easier”

The first time I met June, it was like something clicked. We’ve been friends for 10 years and know everything about each other.. At this point, it’s impossible for us to not be friends, we know too many secrets about each other. I always call her for help with things.

“You look so sad when you sit alone” No need to guess who it is, I already know its June.

 “Not sad, just thinking” Before I finish the sentence, I know exactly what shes gonna say. 

“Hope you were thinking of me” She flashes me a quick grin, and I cant help but to smile,

“You wish I was” I can see that shes thinking about something, so I just wait for her to talk.

“You thinkin’ about your hot date?”I can tell shes joking, but I just sigh and stare down st the table.

“I wish it was a hot date, thats a lot better than awkward and embarrassing”

“Was it really that bad?”

I guess he picks up on the fact that I’m slightly uncomfortable, because he looks really nervous. 

“I guess I never really said the word ‘date,’ I just kinda assumed you knew what I meant” 

I’ve only ever known him as confident, always seems so sure of him self, and shameless. But currently he looks worried.

“Yeah, hah, I’m not too great with social cues

I’m just making it worse. I’ve never been good in situations like this. I talk too much when I’m nervous, and almost always make things worse. 

“I’ll be right back”

Abruptly standing up and walking to the bathroom. Probably could have handled that better, but I need to gather my thoughts. As soon as the door is shut, I lean back against it with a sigh. I pull out my phone and go to text June. 

'did you know that im on a date??’ almost immediately, my phone buzzes with a response. J-'yeah, dummy. you told me you were going’ J-'wait, did you not know it was a date? bc sometimes youre oblivious’

Good to know I’m the only one who didnt know I was on a date. 

'I had no idea wtf. Now i feel awkward bc i dont want to be on a date with him but i cant just,, leave’ J-'why don’t you want to be there. i thought you liked him’

Its true. I act like I like him all the time. I guess I thought I did like him, I like anyone who shows me the slightest bit of affection. But being here on a date showed me that I don’t really like him as more than a friend.

I step into the restaurant, the smell of food hits me as I realise how hungry I am. Looking around, I expect to see all my friends but all I see is Ben sitting alone.

“Sorry I’m late, practice was longer than usual” he looks up at me, a smile spreading across his face

“Its fine, really. I was kinda late too, I only waited a few minutes for you.”

He looks deep in thought for a minute before he speaks again,

 "Besides, I wasn't even sure you would show up" I stare at his serious expression before laughing, accidentally snorting in the process.

 "We go out to eat all the time, when have I ever skipped food" I expect him to laugh along too but instead he looks away from me. I feel like theres something I'm missing until 

"Well yeah, but its kind of different when its a date" 

 A date? he never said this was a date. Why are we on a date. He looks surprised at me. I feel bad for a moment. Not really sure what to do but keep my thoughts to myself 

"Oh..yeah, a date. That explains why it's just us" Painfully aware of how awkward I sound, I play with the rings on my fingers to distract myself. 

 "Yup, thats usually how dates go" He lets out a laugh that almost makes me feel guilty. I feel like I'm lying to him somehow.

i decided to try and write again, even though im not 2 great at it. gotta practice to get better. so my posts will still have captions on the pictures, but there will also be a readmore on them. no one really has to read it, it just provides a little more for the situation. also my posts are pretty focused on bailey so im gonna write from baileys pov.

time for a talk

So normally I try to stay out of simblr drama because it isn’t worth my time or effort. HOWEVER, I am over and fucking done with the post going around comparing Sims 3 to Sims 4 just by pricing and content alone. 

Some things to consider the next time you make a bullshit post: 

1. The Sims 4 Team is VASTLY smaller compared to TS3 Team.

2. The Sims 4 is PLAYABLE with ALL THE PACKS, unlike The Sims 3. Now I don’t know if any of you happen to own more than three of ANY Sims 3 pack, but your game would slow down DRAMATICALLY, and would continue to become more and more unplayable as you added more packs.

3. The Sims 3 packs, for the vast majority, were buggy, unreliable, and unorganized MESSES of things smushed together. Personally, I’d rather pay $10, $20, or $40 on a pack that is cohesive, nicely made, and full of USEABLE features. 

4. Anyone remember TS3 worlds being interactive, gorgeous landscapes full of life? Or more like a blob of gray un-loaded-in textures if you didn’t have a great graphics card that was such a pain to navigate your sim never left the house. 

5. Could anyone even play in Isla Paradiso?

6. Sims 4 CAS can actually, y’know, run, without the player needing to cringe and pray to whatever deity listening that it won’t crash if they click on the gloves subsection. 

7. And lastly, because I am tired and frankly, over it, THE SIMS TEAM DOES NOT OWE US FUCKING ANYTHING. THEY DID NOT OWE US TODDLERS, PETS, APARTMENTS, SPAS RESTAURANTS, BUILDING YOU COULD ACTUALLY GO INTO, BUTLERS, CLUBS, VAMPIRES, PLAYABLE CAREERS, ALIENS, AND YES, EVEN FUCKING LAUNDRY (which the community voted for might I add). They do not need to listen to our voices, our input, our wishes and desires, but they do. Over and over again, they listen. Maybe not right away, maybe its just them saying ‘no’, but they don’t even owe us that. The Sims 4 Team is doing the best job they can to produce useable, good-looking, consistent content, good gameplay and beautiful worlds for us with the resources they have. 

The team and game is not perfect, it has issues and bugs and yeah, I can be annoyed at some of the decisions made, but it is far better than the sims 3 was. 

FINALLY: DON’T LIKE THE GAME? DON’T BUY THE PACKS OR SIMPLY DON’T PLAY IT AT ALL.

did anyone have broken mods w the laundry pack? i have 2 annoying bugs where, one when my sim visits lots, no one else will. Townies will all leave the lot then continue to show up for a sec before they disappear again. and two when i get the screen to select sims to travel with, then continue on. Nothing happens

anyway,, i havent even looked at sims in like,,, 2 weeks?? but im excited to play w the new pack. i always had laundry in my sims 3 houses.  Even if they couldnt get a washer/dryer, they could take their laundry to a laundromat. whicih is kinda silly but i enjoyed little things like that in sims 3.
