A fox-woman. And not just your run of the mill ginger-red fox from the wilderness, but a nine-tailed one. Those creatures were just as fabled as the Orochi, as far as Airy could recall back. And a woman that shared half of one’s form was even rarer.
Each husky breath she took seemed to register each of this Ahri’s compliments. Strong and deadly, oh yes. Beautiful? Agnes and the others didn’t seem to think so. She would have let out a cackle, but there was business to attend to. And a new problem.
Her name. No one would ever be able to draw parallels between this form and her fairy’s, but the name still presented an obstacle. Until she was certain what the fox was fully capable of, she needed to go by something else. Just for a little while.
Besides, as fearful as her merry band of adventurers had been, the name ‘Airy’ wasn’t going to do her any favors if she associated it with this body in a first meeting. It served her overall purpose with her master, but it didn’t exactly inspire utter fear.
“Ahri… from Ionia,“ she uttered, sluggishly moving off the pile of wood and dusty books. “It seems that you’ve been brought up quite well. I am the Boundary Piercer of Luxendarc… You may call me Mephilia.“
She may as well use the name of one of the nastiest women her cycles had given her the misfortune of meeting.
“Mephilia, the Boundary Piercer of Luxendarc..” as if holding a valued item or a precious package, Ahri recites the name given to her, cooing almost as the way it sounds as it leaves her lips. The term ‘boundary piercer’ is lost to her- so is the land of Luxendarc... but it’s to be expected. These two do hail from different worlds. With a title like though- one could only wonder what kind of powers were held within the other. More so when their power was unhinged. This city diminished that.
For better or worse though...this curious fox may never know.
Not wanting to leave her acquaintance off at her trailing thoughts, Ahri is quick to give a respectful nod, followed by more sweet words. It was a rare sight to see her use them with actual meaning.
“... the pleasure is all mine~ I have yet to see a demonstration of your ability other than the fall of this library, but I have a feeling your prowess is one that should never be..trifled with.”
”-To put it into retrospect, I would say I’m but a candle to your forest fire... -giggles lightly- fitting is it not? I would dare to say we may even have the same tendencies, but something is certainly clear: If we were to meet in any other circumstance, I have a feeling only one of us would leave alive.”
