hey beans. kind of here, kind of not. I’m just puttering around enjoying my day off. I’ll be on a little more properly later once the coffee kicks in fully & I finish cleaning a bit. Until then, I have a thing I’m thinking of & I could use some input! as always, find me on discord loves <3

I’m considering making a multi for all of my currently low activity muses. right now up for consideration are: @readyforyours, @parabates / @takeseffort, @tenacityofthepast, @huntersprayer, & @flourdusting. + two muses that currently don’t have blogs of their own. idk. I’m very attached to them having their own blogs, but… I’m currently having a hard time logging specifically into any of them so perhaps a multi would help.

it had a stark grandeur in the winter: the mountains rose in the distance, capped white with snow, and the trees along the side of the road that led back to Alicante from the lake were stripped bare, their leafless branches making lace-like patterns against the bright sky.

born & raised outside of alicante, in the heart of the wilderness of idris, james barnes always thought he was lucky. by sixteen, he'd found his parabatai, & by 18 they had made official in the eyes of the clave. they trained together, did everything together, a truly inseperable pair.

until they weren't.

during a winter-time op, they encountered a greater demon. bucky went up against the demon while steve covered the warlock attempting to seal the portal. they were successful, or so they thought. in the last minute, the demon grabbed barnes & dragged him, screaming, through the portal. it closed before he was all the way through - leaving his arm behind as the portal shattered.

barnes was flung into the abyss, managing to slam out into the unseelie court. wanting to know more about the inner workinds of the clave, & to assess if the shadowhunters & future accords posed a threat to them, the unseelie king healed barnes but at a very steep price.

his parabatai bond was severed incompletely when he fell from the portal, & this has caused it to drain the life from him. to counter it, he was gifted immortality so long as he resides within the fae realm. bound to the court, barnes cannot leave - doing so would destroy the delicate magic that keeps him alive.
