i have been around horses most my life and at some point you sort of forget that these are really big animals and that you can easily get really hurt. and you get a bit lax with safety etc. and then you remember

#or: my friend got kicked in the head #in front of me :-/ she’s at the er now and has asked if i got it on video so she’ll probably be fine #she was luckily wearing a helmet (because baby horse) but was still hit above her eyebrow and it bled a lot #and while i was wearing a helmet today we all should be wearing helmets and gloves and steel toed boots hell of a lot more often than we do #and while everyone i know wears one for riding we should do it for a lot more things because accidents happen very quickly :-(
