Ceres is a blue planet, covered almost entirely by vast oceans. What little land is available on Ceres is mostly beach and marsh, leaving little room for agricultural growth. As such, life on Ceres, including plant life, lives underwater, though many native species, such as the Cerians, are amphibious. While Cerians were initially opportunistic bands of scavengers trying survive predators on land, the advent of biodome technology allowed the Cerians to construct cities. All Cerian cities, whether on Ceres or colonial, are partially submerged, the water kept out by a kinetically shielded biodome.
Set is, like Caelus, a desert planet, the difference being Set's lack of a thick atmosphere. Solar radiation on the surface is deadly after more than an hour of exposure. Set's massive underground caverns and water reservoirs led to the development of life despite the planet's harsh conditions. Life on Set developed underground, using the massive caverns and the tunnels connecting them to travel the planet. Setian cities on their homeworld are still built underground, despite the ability to make changes to Set's atmosphere, the result of cultural preservation. Setian colonies, however, are built above ground, using Cerian dome technology to filter out solar radiation that would be lethal to Setians.

Earth has been occupied by the Animus for the better part of three hundred year, as per the agreement made with the machine. Prior to the beginning of the war with the Animus, there was little interest in Earth—most believed it to be a dying world. Recent scans, however, suggest the Animus has completely reconstructed the Earth, using terraforming technology far beyond that of the Alliance species. Preliminary scans also suggest that large parts of the Earth's core and mantle have been replaced with machinery, and massive cities, built over the ruins of those left by humanity, can be seen even from space. It is believed that machinery under the Earth is used to house additional Synthetic platforms and store information obtained during consensus. Synthetic colonies are set up in the same manner, allowing Synthetics to access information and operate more effectively farther away from the Animus. These "server colonies" are heavily guarded, and some have been outfitted with construction facilities to produce additional units.
Planet Genesis is a pre-garden world riddled with seismic and volcanic activity, serving as the home for the first and largest Synthetic processing facility. The facility is heavily guarded by ground, outfitted with several advanced AA towers and kinetic barriers, as well as surrounded by a veritable army of Synthetic combat units. The majority of the Synthetic fleet is stationed at Genesis in preparation for an attack from Caelian space.
Terra Nova is the first extra solar colony founded by a currently extant species, and since it has become the heart of human space. Terra Nova is an early garden world, its current stage comparable to the Jurassic period on Earth. Aside from differences in topography, slight variations in climate, and unique speciation, Terra Nova is just like Earth. Human cities stretch across vast sections of the planet, but modern construction practices have allowed the environment to remain stable despite supporting a massive population. Human colonies are constructed on similar early to mid-stage garden worlds, using terraforming practices where needed to convert atmospheric compounds.
Perseus Station is the Confederacy of Human Systems' military command outpost, a highly advanced station located a safe distance Argyros. At any given time the station houses more than two million military personnel, from support staff to marines and technicians assigned to the station. Perseus Station features both military defenses and civilian comforts, due to its proximity to neutral space and the length of time people are assigned to the station. Unlike Chronos Station, Perseus Station does not have artificial day and night cycles in place.
