Day 5 Prompt—Meditation | Solitude

     Here’s a drabble for your soul

Neji likes to believe that everything is better when he’s alone. He puts up with people but would much rather spend time by himself meditating or reading. His teammates are vital to his training, yes, but if he could, he would choose to be without them.

There’s a very interesting difference between Lee and Tenten.

When Neji asks Lee to leave him alone, he never listens. 

It doesn’t matter how furiously he is annoyed with the ridiculous antics or just wants to focus for once, Lee will not leave. It isn’t like they spend every moment of the day together, but it seems that whenever Neji opts for solitude, he has to be there. The words seem to go in one ear and right out the other, which really pisses him off.

When Neji asks Tenten to leave him alone, she always listens.

He is a lot less annoyed by her which is without saying, therefore asks her to leave a lot less. Maybe it’s because Tenten understands that Neji spent a lot of his growth alone and his solitude is a huge part of him. Maybe it is because she too, also needs to be alone sometimes and understands that. Tenten understands him in general and when she leaves he just respects her all the more.
