tentwars info 2k21ānew and returning folks, please read!
for those of you who donāt know, tentwars is a side blog to Camp Dan and Phil that gives an opportunity to get closer together! there are alliances, enemies, fanfiction, and much more, so get excited :)
we expect plenty of new anons joining us this camp! traditionally, we have many campers create anonymous characters to act as on tentwars. however, we reiterate that we would like returning campers not to act as their old characters for this camp. we would also prefer you to be off-anon, so you can truly bond with the rest of the campers, but you may create an anon if that makes you uncomfortable. people have also made anons with certain personalities in their tents (for example, flirty maui, evil hand sanitiser). still, it is tentwars, so try to sign off with your tent whenever you can!
we do our best to avoid bringing inside jokes into new camps, but they may pop up every now and then! check the camp history channel on the discord for a catch up if anything confuses you, or feel free to just ask what something means!
shipping is always one of the biggest aspects of tentwars. weāve had tents getting married, campers being shipped, and even some love/hate relationships. we definitely encourage tents to play-flirt with each other so new ships are born.
as usual, the admins have created a schedule for ourselves to be able to keep track of whoās going to be on tentwars at what time so our asks are answered more efficiently and weāre all less stressed. weāll let you know now what hours we wonāt be active on tentwars throughout camp. all times are in BST:
sunday: 5AM - 9AM monday-friday: 6AM - 9AM saturday-sunday: 7AM - 9AM
now, this doesnāt mean weāll be completely off the gridājust that we wonāt be as responsive as we will be otherwise.
we also understand that all this might be a bit overwhelming for our newer campers, so we wanted to give you all a shot to take on tentwars by yourself before the chaos moves in! sunday, august 1, starting at midnight BST, we will open tentwars, but only to new campers and tent leaders. we encourage you all to start a dialogue and start having fun with your fellow campers in the leadup to camp starting monday morning!
to get involved, just send an ask! you can send it off anon as yourself, send anonymous messages from your tent, or just participate as a regular anon. however, please try to keep character anons (in which you play a random character instead of a tent or normal anon) to a minimum, as it gets a bit chaotic. you can definitely sign off your anon messages with a fun name or emoji, but please try to only use one signoff for all your anons. itās much easier if there arenāt four anons that are all technically the same person.
we know this might still be confusing to our new campers, so weāre going to give you a little bit of an explainer! tonight (july 31) at 7pm BST, the admins will be holding a new camper livestream on discord where weāll explain some aspects of camp that may be confusing, and youāll be able to ask us any questions you have (or just stay quiet and watch us play some games)! we encourage all you new folks to attend.
