Probably because straight women still have far more support for their sexuality than bi women lol. Plus it's like... Straight women don't have to struggle with the unique stigma against ssa. They don't have to question that. They can know they're solely attracted to the other sex. They'll never experience what bi women experience, feeling left out of "both sides" and being treated as if you simultaneously somehow both don't exist but also you do and your existence is disgusting to absolutely everyone around you, with no solace even in the lgb community. That feeling of being left out, left behind, forgotten, that's unique to bisexuals. Straight people will never understand that, and that's most of the reason why bi people hate themselves and our sexuality. We just never feel like we belong, but at least straight women can understand each other. Even when I speak to straight women about our osa, I still cannot relate to them. We aren't the same and I am always reminded of that with every conversation.

P.s. this is why we need a dedicated bi community, not lumped in with either straight people or gay people. Otherwise we just don't know how to find each other because everywhere we turn we're faced with disgust for who we are

that response about being disgusted by your feelings about men really annoys me because I spent so long believing that I was a lesbian because I would cry after getting off to thoughts of being with men because I just felt so confused about it. all this is doing is creating more lesbian-identified bisexuals who will spend a significant amount of time miserably hating a part of themselves. and then when they can't deny their natural attraction any longer and admit their bisexuality, lesbians will blame us for contributing to the homophobic conversion therapy rhetoric that there's no such thing as female homosexuality, as if the bigotry of homophobes is somehow our fault when we're convinced to identify as lesbians *by other lesbians* in the first place, as well as society at large which promotes the idea that any OSA woman (but especially bisexual women who are obviously inherently promiscuous) must be open to having sex with men 24/7 and desiring dick at all times.
