(Terin) āļø 'Lie still. You're bleeding internally.'
ā - push my muse back down when they try to get out of bed (perhaps involving illness, injury, or sleep deprivation)
Veigar sat bolt upright at the news and almost immediately passed back out. The sudden pain darkening the edges of his vision as a wave of nausea and lightheadedness washed over the dark mage. Very quickly the effort of being upright overcame the yordleās ability to remain so and Veigar collapsed back onto the bed.
āWhat happened?ā He hissed through clenched teeth.
āI didnāt see, but I heard the boom and came running. Since youāre concussed and have whiplash and internal injuries, but nothing external, my best guess is that somethig detonated - either a bomb or a spell- close to you.ā
Terin shifted so Veigar could see her face without twisting his head around to look, āIāve got your bleeding under control for now, but if you move around chances are itāll get much worse, do you understand?ā
SendĀ āš”ā to ask my muse about one of their scars.
(If you cannot see the emoji sendĀ āScarā)
" A dark purple Yordle healer? How ... appetizing. Yum!"
āSurely not!ā Terin had never talked with a celestial before and wasnāt sure about how effective her telepathy would be, so she signed along with her words,Ā āYordles have much higher than average alkaloid levels in our skin and blood, you know. I imagine weād taste truly awful!ā
āProper cooking and cutting make the alkaloid a non-issue. But I disgress. This is strange, you are the first Yordle healer I meet. Iād like to know, how do you heal? Magic? Herbal tinctures? surgery? all of this ?Ā ā
āMost yordles would rather stay sequestered within Bandle City, healers especially, so itās not surprising that you haven'tĀ met one of us before, but we do exist! Anyway, yes! I use a combination of all three, although I try to avoid performing anything as invasive as surgery unless it really is the only option, since it adds a risk of infection that must be dealt with in addition to everything else.Ā
Certainly healing with magic is the most effective way, but it can be far more time-consuming and exhausting than other methods. As for herbal tinctures and salves, I find they are best for treating minor ailments, soothing pain, or for reinforcing other treatments, however the necessary components can be quite difficult to acquire and prepare - on short notice especially - and I must account for the possibility of the patient not following my instructions should they need to administer them without my help.Ā
In short, I try not to rely too heavily on any one method, but in my opinion a combination of magic and practical remedies is preferable to surgery.ā
Soraka payed close attention to the healer discourse. She then added :Ā āOK, for surgery, youāre right, but Iāve found a way to prevent infection during surgery.Ā ā Ā She searched in her pouch, producing a small vial of purple crystals.Ā āDilute them in ten times the vial volume of boiled water.Ā Clean your cutting instrument with it first and high-grade alcohol secondĀ lowers the infection risks. You can make them by finding manganite in bogs, and fusing it with pearl ash.ā
āAs Iām a being of magic, I tend to rely on it most of the time, but Iāve noticed herbs and potions have their merit. You know your stuff.ā
Terin smiled and bowed her head respectfully as she accepted the vial of crystals, āThank you, Iāve devoted my life to this work so Iām flattered by the praise and I thank you for these as well,ā she gestured towards the crystals, āthis is very generous of you. May I ask for your opinion on a matter of some importance? A conflict Iāve been struggling with?ā
āWhat would that conflict be? Iām not much into fighting, thatās not quite my domain.ā
'As a healer, do you struggle with your oath?' The yordle bit her lip and looked away, 'A-assuming you took the oath, that is...I'm troubled by internal conflict over it; how I've sworn to do no harm and to allow no harm to be done, and yet there are times when those who would be my patients are violent in nature. Should I heal them then they're bound to do harm and surely I'm responsible for enabling this, but I can't simply leave someone to die...I've found no solution. Perhaps you can give me advice?' Terin smiled hopefully up at the celestial and curtsied politely as she made the request. Her mother, of course, had taught her that manners are of the utmost importance and even more so when asking for a favor.

Lyrics
Here's the story of a girl
Who grew up lost and lonely
Thinking love was fairytale
And trouble was made only for me
Even in the darkness every color can be found
And every day of rain brings water flowing to things growing in the ground
Grief replaced with pity
For a city barely coping
Dreams are easy to achieve
If hope is all I'm hoping to be
Anytime you're hurt there's one who has it worse around
And every drop of rain will keep you growing seeds you're sewing in the ground
So keep head Billy buddy!
