About 98% certain that on literally any site that has it as an option, clicking on things to select "I'm not fuckin interested stop showing me this shit" actually just counts as an interaction with the thing I'm not interested in, prompting the algo to send me more of it

As a test I stepped into my tumblr For You tab which was overrun with Lord of the Rings posts for some unfathomable reason and spent some time painstaking saying not interested to all of them

This did not improve the situation and more and more LotR posts kept appearing after reloading several times

I then proceeded to ignore every LotR post and interact only with Limbus Company posts, no liking or reblogging, only clicking images, opening notes, opening the post menu, etc.

Reloading after some Limbus interaction gave me a whole bunch of Limbus posts and severely reduced the number of LotR posts
