Your art is amazing and your message too.

For the first time in my whole life I found myself in a mental state where I needed to stop watching a show and to never interact with its fandom again.

Sadly this show is Voltron.

Every time I opened Tumblr, Twitter or YouTube I found posts that not only tried to change my personal opinion on a fictional pair (that didn't exist, and still doesn't because hey, none of the Voltron ships are currently Canon.) by trying to degrade my ship and my taste as something either cheap, or generally bad or even toxic, hurtful and damaging to other people around me but also stating that for having a determinate taste (again for a fiction pair) I was a dangerous and mentally ill person.

This, is not acceptable, this hate is not acceptable, being hurt by other people for this bullshit is not acceptable.

The content that you like to consume doesn't determine what kind of person you are and if you're a bad or a nice person.

So please, let fandoms be what they were and what they should be.

A place where everyone can enjoy what they want, in the way they want while having fun and being happy about it.

There's already too much hate everywhere, try to do something different and bring some love.

English is not my first language so if I made some mistakes I'm sorry but I had to get this out of my chest, I hope that what I wrote is understandable.

Artists and writers are losing a lot of exposure over this new feature.  Someone recently posted a photo of their notes over the last month and there was a HUGE difference from before the “Best Stuff First” feature and after.  

The things many people create on this site is getting buried.  Some is commissions but a LOT of content is done for free.  Changing your settings does help them, but it also helps YOU still find the things/ blogs you enjoy.  If you want to actively help, hit the reblog button if you enjoy something.

i read ur post about fandom slowing down and it makes me feel kinda sad bc im in a fandom that doesn't have a manga serialization so i feel like its more prone to just dying off and ppl moving on. its one of the more popular fandoms rn but even the most popular fandoms fade 2-3 years after the initial boom and ppl move onto the next big thing. sorry for being negative in ur inbox but i just wanted to get it off my chest ;; i wish it'd be more like the pkmn or hp fandoms that transcend time

Life changes! Always! Constantly! If one thing is certain then it’s change.People change, leave, move on, die and be born.The same with fandom. It’s living, moving, changing, developing.And we can’t stop this. And we don’t know when or what will happen.

You don’t know what will happen in 2-3 years. You don’t even know what could all happen tomorrow.Maybe you are the one who will have changed and moved on in 2-3 years. And there would be nothing bad about it.Maybe you are still invested in the fandom in 2-3 and if so, believe me, there will be others there with you! Things might have changed. But there will still be love and content! People will have grown with you from the beginning and pushed old stories further and to new grounds. And new people will have joined and will have brought new ideas and content. Embrace change and don’t just live in the past…and don’t live in a ‘what-could-be’ world.

Why stagnate? Why grieve over things that haven’t happen yet? This way you won’t be able to see what is happening right now. All around you. You will miss out on so much beauty!Live now! Be happy about the fandom and content you have now. Appreciate it! Let creators now that you love it and what they do! Show them your love, motivate them and help them to keep going! You can be a part of keeping things alive and flowing!
