Beautifully carved wooden doors (bab) and window frames are a defining feature of traditional Omani architecture. Their designs are predominantly Islamic, featuring geometric, arabesque and floral patterns, with medallions and palm motifs often decorating the doors.

The doors are typically double-leaf, joined by a carved centrepost with the locking mechanism. Many include a smaller inset door for everyday use, while the full entrance is reserved for special guests and special occasions.

The arched space above the door, or lunette, is often decorated with wooden latticework, carved plaster or iron grilles. These features enhance the home's appearance while allowing airflow and preserving privacy and security.

I hate to do this, but I'm desperate. My rent is past due and I only have until July 14th to pay it, or I'll get kicked out. I just got a job offer, but I won't start working there until a week from now and I'll be paid bi-weekly, so I won't have the money in time. I have low income housing - the amount due isn't that much, but I'm literally broke right now. Any money you could spare would be greatly appreciated.
