i love thinking of all the beautiful little crows sleeping (maybe even dreaming) right now
night and day
i love when crows come by to visit
i love this silly little dog
even with all that is afoot, now more than ever i like to find and experience little joys.
there is a cute little Cambodian restaurant that opened up close to where i live and i got to try some of their delicious kuy teav seafood soup which reminded me of pho, but somehow even better
i find such a peace, joy, and comfort in the night time.
away from the day, and away from one world but into another one, where there is a quietness, the beauty of the dark also helps bring out a spacious lightness with in me, and i often feel more receptive to the mystery that surrounds and permeates the ordinary, or my imagination senses a feeling of the fantastic even in things considered prosaic.
the sweetness of solitude is essential to my well being. i don't want to live in isolation, and in the day i can be around other people, but the joy of being alone at night is when i feel most myself. Yet, at the same time it's when i can also more freely lose myself and immerse myself in books, dreams, contemplation, music and art.
i often feel awed by the night time beauty of the dark sky and how the trees look against the backdrop of the expansive night sky, and feel like a deepening dream is around me, and i recognize my own smallness while appreciating the larger scale.
and winter nights are just the best, i love when it is cold outside, and then you can enter into the comfortable warm space of your room and appreciate it even more. of course, the mind can wander strange places, but having a comfortable warm room exterior space to be in is grounding- and perhaps burning some incense and the soft light glow from the candles makes even more peaceful. i think having your physical room in harmony (for lack of a better word) it allows you to enter deeper into your being, and into your inner room and letting the mind have so much room to dream within.
lol, i'm just writing out my thoughts, but in summary i love the night on a spiritual level, and the quiet joy of evening solitude is a benediction of sort for my soul :')
pals
i find comfort in the night, the cold, the bare trees, the wind, the vastness of the night sky, silence, the warmth of my bed, solitude, and drifting away inwardly into the imagination.
autumn
two loves. the poetic that permeates the trees
and books that inspire the imagination

thinking of the times different people asked me i were or was a goth
and although
i love living inside the long winding corridors of imagination, having a surreal sensibility, being alone, the night, foggy gloomy weather vibes with a deep air of mystery, sad classical music, wearing mostly just black and gray, being in love with crows, strange stories of witches, contemplating my mortality, i never thought of myself as being a goth- i'm just not into blood aesthetics ;')
but i do have a soft spot for 19th century dark romanticism (Poe and E.T.A Hoffmann) and their critique of a reductionist materialism rationalism.
anyway, my personal romanticism is that the land is haunted by something strange and inexplicable and the faculty of imagination is haunted by something ineffable and mysterious and the two often overlap in dream like ways that is usually more pronounced at night.
