Not to wade too deep into the tma/tme thing, but i think it's ridiculous to assume and start from a position of division within the community. Of course i love my transmasc brothers. That is the default. Of course i want every transmasc to receive excellent medical care and easy access to hormones and the ability to stockpile for emergencies. Transmascs deserve our love and support. Yes, i think there are some differences in our experiences, that's inevitable. Yes, i think there's some issues that we could all be better addressing. but to assume that those divisions supersede the love and care and siblinghood between transmascs and transfems is completely nonsensical. I find it deeply disappointing the way internet discourse tends towards and assumption of absolutist opinions and hard lines drawn in the sand, such that trying to have a genuine conversation about intra-community issues has devolved into a shit-slinging match that people can't ever seem to accept nuance on. It's why I tend to avoid weighing in on these things like the plague, because I can't trust this platform to accept minor critiques in the greater context of love, support, and kinship against a greater oppression. and that's just. really disappointing.
