It’s been a long time coming but I finally picked up my new Tesla last week. Yes, it’s as wonderful to drive as they say it is. Yes, it does feel good knowing I’m not adding to the diesel pollution in London and helping improve air quality.  And yes, the “Tesla nod” is a real thing.

It still doesn’t feel real though. When I first moved to the big smoke I was broke, couldn’t afford to feed myself and my then girlfriend left me as her family looked down upon me because I was poor and came from a Filipino background, which in their eyes made me no better than the family maid. I “wouldn’t amount to anything” as they put it.

I never hated her for it. But even to this day I still meet people who are only kind to those that can benefit them. And as it turns out that those are some of the most unhappiest people I know. If you want to get ahead in life, be nice and look after those around you.
