landon-reid:
Landon had always been a morning person and today was no different. By the time he had made it to Brews Brothers, the sun had fully risen, forcing him to switch into his sunglasses. Leather laptop case slung over his shoulder, he walked in and greeted the employees with a wave as they got started on his simple order. “Thanks, guys,” he slipped some dollars into the tip jar and reached for a plastic lid when it happened. “Shit-” Hot liquid jumped over the brim of the cup, scalding his fingers and leaving a trail on his laptop case. “It’s fine, it’s fine,” he mumbled to the woman, “Just grab me some napkins.”
Tessa didn’t quite realize the full extent of the damage when she initially apologized. Mumbling assent she turned to grab some of the requested napkins and only saw the liquid everywhere when she turned back to face him. “Oh my god, I’m so sorry.” She could feel her neck starting to flush with embarrassment and almost completely forgot about her own cup waiting to be claimed. “Is your laptop ok?”
