my 9yo nephew opened up to me that he likes another boy in his school 😭😭

I tried talking to him about it again but he kinda acted like he didn't know what I was talking about and then proceeded to use she/her to talk about his crush. Im pretty sure I didn't mishear him the first time, especially bc it was part of a convo of him asking me about how I knew I liked boys, but I guess time will tell!!
