I no longer have the energy for meaningless friendships, forced interactions or unnecessary conversations. If we donāt vibrate on the same frequency thereās just no reason for us to waste our time. Iād rather have no one and wait for substance than to not feel someone and fake the funk.

I understand this quote a little too well.Ā Itās what Iāve been feeling.Ā My personal life has me physically, emotionally, and mentally exhausted.Ā People who care about me, know why Iām spent.Ā I donāt have the energy to explain it to the people who donāt know.Ā Which is why I have abandoned a few of my social media accounts and announced that I wonāt be back on them any time soon.Ā So yesterday, I had to log on to one of them because I forgot to get back to someone about something important.Ā My Inbox was full of pmās, people asking whatās going on.Ā Cousinsā¦ āfriendsāā¦ old classmatesā¦ I ignored all of the pmās.Ā If youāre my cousin and weāve been FB friends for years, and you donāt know whatās going on here in my life, then you have been paying zero attention.Ā I donāt have it in me to call you and update you on it.Ā You go back to your self absorbed life, and Iāll go back to mine.Ā End of story.
Suffice it to say, I have moved on in my mind.Ā They will see me when they see me, and that will be when *I* am emotionally and physically ready to reconnect.Ā Until then, Iām hanging with the people who have shown me the most love and support in the past six months.Ā You know who you are.Ā You are the ones I donāt have to EXPLAIN a thing to.
Fantastic! This is so true these days which is why I spend a limited amount of time on social media. It's such a lazy approach to keeping tabs on people so you know what's going on in their lives.
