"The Manor hasn't been this full of strangers in nearly a century. I have gotten too used to my isolation. The walls are buzzing with tension here. I cannot see myself sleeping any time soon. Tonight was meant to be a celebration. Returning home with my companions. I wonder if Aurelio is restless tonight as well"

What a day; I'm not sure where to even begin. I'm afraid I've made a terrible first impression. Aurelio and I got into town and went to pick up Sorcha before heading to the Manor, and straight away she was having kaffee with a werewolf. And Henry's pack member, in fact; I recognized the Mark and later confirmed with a conversation in the library. She wants to see Henry's notes, and the labs. She told me about the worsening decline of the hides; bio-alchemy advances, pack politics, shared memories. There is so much that we had no time and I had no capacity to speak long enough on, for before all of that, Sorcha had more news. Apparently Adăpost Manor has developed some sort of reputation and there happened to be a plan for a break-in the very night of my arrival. Some college students wanted to investigate the rumors and have a party. I find the timing of all this to be very concerning. Especially with Aurelio joining me now. But our arrival at the Manor simply brought more questions. Ki was there, throwing out a group of young men, accompanied by a boy named Win. I suspect that she was not going to wait and ask to see the notes, and so I am glad that we arrived before shortly after she did. Win turns out to be the grandchild of Lily, who decided to assign him her duties without consulting me? And there is something strange about him too, though I can't quite put my finger on it. He is familiar somehow.

We went inside to get things sorted and almost immediately heard screaming from upstairs. Somebody that Win had invited over got stuck in one of Sorcha's ridiculous traps. So I've barely set foot in my own house and it's full of strangers. Strangers that for some reason, I know. Yes, even the girl caught in the trap, I know. And so does Sorcha and Aurelio. If Sorcha is correct, anyways. For her, they are Blue; for me, and for Aurelio, she is Zamphyr. So many familiar faces and new names. Could it really be Zamphyr, in a new life? I suppose stranger things have happened, but I'm having trouble convincing myself. Not that it will matter much either way, she does not recognize me or anyone else. So far. I tried to send her home, but Sorcha insisted on following her, saying that Blue always dies after they meet again. What could I say? And she was right; not a few hours after she left, this girl [Talia, is her name] nearly fell from the stairs outside her building, according to Sorcha. Of course she brought her back to Adăpost, and how could I turn them away at that point. Talia took one of the guest rooms, although with much reluctance; saying that ‘She Knows’ and that she wants to leave as soon as possible. I will need to find out exactly what all it is that she ‘knows’. Everything was such a mess before they returned and Win appeared to be moments from a complete breakdown. Lily did not prepare or warn him of my return. I had to tell him everything. There was nothing else to be done, if he wishes to continue working here. He handled the matter very well, even asking after my needs. And good thing, I had almost forgotten to discuss a raise in pay. He will surely have more responsibilities, and the extra troubles have already begun. I'll need to restock the pantry and kitchen with all the mortals here. The Manor hasn't been this full of strangers in nearly a century. I have gotten too used to my isolation. The walls are buzzing with tension here. I cannot see myself sleeping any time soon. Tonight was meant to be a celebration. Returning home with my companions. I wonder if Aurelio is restless tonight as well.
