Skin Tint Edits for Dragon Age The Veilguard

This mod edits the skin tint gradient file to remove the greenness of the Cool skin tints. They are still cooler than Neutral, but less green! This is especially noticeable on darker skin.

I will be experimenting with other edits as well. (First on my priority list is to see if I can get the darker tones to have a darker range.)

I asked on Cameo for Leo's opinion and interpretation of Illario Dellamorte. With his permission, here is his response:

Illario Dellamorte is such a joy to play. He radiates charisma and unbridled self-esteem, at least on the surface. But what makes him compelling is that he’s beautifully flawed. That hunger for attention? It doesn’t come from arrogance. It comes from fear. The fear of not being chosen. I relate to that more than people might expect. I was a late bloomer. I felt like the black sheep culturally, physically, mentally. That quiet yearning to belong… to be recognized… to matter. For Illario, that wound goes all the way back to Caterina. Lucanis was always the favored one. No matter what Illario does, it never quite feels like enough. And when you grow up in someone else’s shadow, you learn two things: How to sharpen yourself. And how to demand the spotlight. 

He inherited Caterina’s cunning. Her wit. Her ambition. But he also inherited the pressure. He loves his family. He loves the Crows. He just wants acknowledgement. Is he fully self-aware of it? Sometimes. In the quiet moments, alone in his chambers, he feels that push and pull. The tension between who he is and who he thinks he must be. But he also lives in the moment. And that’s what I love most about him. That fearless confidence. That belief that he will succeed, even when the world pushes back. He leads with charm. With heart. Sex appeal. Charisma. That in itself is such a joy to embody.  He fills his own cup, because no one ever did it for him. That’s another thing I admire. He puts himself first. When I first was crafting my interpretation of Illario, Thor and Loki came to mind. Two powerful forces. One favored. One overlooked. Loki isn’t evil, he’s reactive. Passionate. Brilliant and wounded. That’s Illario. He may make questionable choices, but he isn’t a villain in his own story. He’s a man driven by passion, and sometimes passion outruns logic. We know there is a dependency between the canon of the games and the canon of the books - blue eyes in the game, umber brown in the books.

Usually game canon takes precedence. But i know many like the brown eyed version as it matches Lucanis, even though being cousins, not brothers, their parents would have been different people and thus easily have different eye colours.

Now I've seen some cool art of him drawn with one brown eye and one blue eye, which is fun. But...may I offer central Heterochromia instead! Where the eyes have both colours within them!

Sometimes the light will catch in one way that you'll see the eye as blue and in another as brown.

Both options win then!
