Tales of Lore- TF, VR, RPG

Greetings and welcome! This blog is for detailing a setting that combines fantasy, transformation, isekai, and probably some size stuff!

This will include some kinky stuff, so Minors, Do Not Interact.

Tales of Lore is a fictional Virtual Reality Role Playing Game, drawing inspiration from World of Warcraft, Pathfinder, Log Horizon, Overlord and some other media. While the software works well for some 99% of players, many find that the Reality doesn't entirely stay virtual.

Some players are trapped as their characters within the incredibly realistic fantastic game world, some are permanently turned into characters or monsters in the real one, and some can switch between the two. That transformation, or growth, or access to fantastic powers and magic, are the main focus of the art and stories on this account.

Tales of Lore also has a dense hybrid system, so many characters may end up being cross-species of 2, 3, or even 4 ancestries, for some very funky designs and abilities.

@cloud-kaiju and @lulu-the-kaiju are the folk behind this blog, but feel free to throw questions and suggestions in if you're interested! We'll upload the backlog of relevant characters and artworks daily for the moment, so stay tuned!

Anvil is another Tales of Lore player turned into his avatar- in this case, he's a Chameleon Drake Runesmith. Rather than wear enchanted equipment himself, he shifts his scales to rune markings to get whichever buffs or effects he wants!

What are all the races in Tales of Lore, or what are the most popular if there are too many to list?

Alright so here is the "Species Table" from my document, I made it to be able to roll up new characters. The bigger the dice you use, the weirder the results you get! The d4 x d4 table is pretty basic, classic races, then d6 x d6 is weirder, d8 x d8 feels like very premium species, and d10 x d10 includes broken OP and boss species.

So that's... 97 or so basic species, but then if you factor in that Tales of Lore allows up to 4 Species Hybrids then... I can't actually do the maths for the possible combinations.

Also a lot of species have subspecies in my head- elements for the Drakes, different kinds of slime, etc.

I imagine that like... Human, Daemon, Beastkin, Goblin, Drakekin, Feline, etc are the most popular vanilla races, very D&D adjacent, but yeah, it's mental.

Petra is a living dungeon, a gargoyle lady turned entire temple. She stole an ancient idol, but unfortunately ended up being it's new dungeon herself!

She can fold up into a "cathedral", and tends to sleep as such for months at a time. Also has some residents living inside!

Once Martha gets used to her new body post transformation, she's quite a BIG fan, even if having so many curves to rock around still catches her by surprise now and then.

Mimi is a weird character in Tales of Lore, in that she's seemingly a sentient NPC- a Mimic Drake with Rogue levels who just... skuttles about dungeons disguised as a chest, stealing anything that's not nailed down.

Gush! It’s the hydrant heroine of Soggy Street! Collapsed into bright red burst boots, this nubile and non-conforming irrigator is here to geyser apart the bad guys! Constantly under pressure, Gush is one wet and wild river woman that you don’t want to cross!

are you okay with fanfic set in your world of Tales of Lore? the setting interests me and i want to write about it.

For the moment, it's a probably yes, but we'd like to make a setting document of the big broad core truths of the concept, to keep things on a vaguely similar page. Expect to see that soon!

Eventually, with enough help, Martha was able to find a tailor able to handle her massive gains. For now at least.

When you can grow so easily from levelling up like Gabby, it's best to consider if you'll fit back out of the dungeon as easily as you fit in!
