It was a normal day, a few years after psu. Andreil moved together and they are content.
Until one day neil doesn’t come home from running
Some people are still mad at the butcher. But they can’t revenge that. They can’t bc he’s dead
So they take neil instead
They kidnap him in the middle of the day
He can’t fight the sinking feeling in his stomach. He tries to call neil. No one answers. Maybe his phone is dead.
Neil never loads the fucking phone
He tries to distract himself, reading a book, but it doesn’t help
An hour later, he knows sth is def not right
He calls kevin who lives in the same area, but he hasn’t seen him either
Andrew goes outside and tracks down neil’s usual running routes for hours
At a sidewalk, he finds neil’s phone
Meanwhile Neil relives a torture he never hoped to relive again
They burn along his arm, up to his shoulders
His voice is already hoarse from screaming
And yet, all he can think of is andrew
After he fainted three times already, he knows.
He wishes so many things. To tell the foxes goodbye. To hug the cats. To thank wymack. to thank andrew
Andrew, who is breaking down. Who calls every fox to search the whole town for neil
Neil’s last thought is of andrew, his last word is andrew, he is tracing the key in his hand and thinks of home. A home andrew gave him
He should be happy to have at least that time with his soulmate
Neil closes his eyes and sees andrew mentally for the last time before his heart stops beating
Andrew seems to feel it. He just freezes while walking
