Alright, well. Well, These two are the firstborns to two big names on the East coast. one a serial killer and the other a powerful mob family. So Nate/Neil *your choice) is Ichirou’s butcher and lover. They are each other’s person they can trust to never judge them for what they do and why they do it.

Unless it’s about how they do something, because Jesus H. Christ, There is a right way to do things, Nathaniel and you’re DOING IT WRONG.

But it’s never good enough and they bicker about it endlessly until the end of the day and 99% of the time it ends there.

The other 1% of the time, their tempers follow them home and the slightest thing can set the other off. What normally happens is always Ichirou’s fault.

“I don’t drink this brand of tea, Ichi.”

“You didn’t make sure the bed was made, Nathaniel.” or if Ichirou is being petty; “Nathan.” which is the one thing that will set Nate off because they both know how much he hates who his father his and what that name represents.

It will lead to Nate/Neil screaming and breaking things. Things Ichirou likes and destroying his perfect balance in their home. The number of times they’ve had to call the cleaners to fix what Nate (and sometimes Ichirou) has destroyed is high.

But Nate/Neil knows something else is bothering his Ichi, his Lord. It surfaces when he realizes his Ichi, his Lord is under extreme amounts of stress that he isn’t able to let out like he can with his ‘job’.

So when he seeks out Ichirou (knuckles bandaged and two cups of jasmine tea in hand [his Ichi’s favorite]), he finds his lover strung out with his beautiful long hair in a disaster of a messy bun and sulking in one of Neil’s jerseys and sweatpants while he tries to do work. He’ll give him his tea and let Ichirou climb into his lap if he needs it (which is not too difficult even though he taller), or climb into his Ichi’s lap and let him bury his face in his skin. 

By the time the tea is gone and they’ve listened to each other’s breathing they can look at each other. Murmured apologies against mouths in soft understanding kisses and they’ll explain what’s been frustrating to each other and promise to try to never do it again. They know it might, because even though they are Lord Moriyama and his Butcher, they are still Nate and Ichi.

He saw it every time he looked in the mirror, in the crudely written “3” on his left cheekbone. He was slowly withering away in the expanse of Evermore, under Riko’s heavy palm pressing him to the mattress each night. He was resolved to keep going like that until his body finally gave out.

Lifting his blanket, he scooted and said, “Come on, I’ve got you…” Jeremy curled up in Kevin’s arms, clinging tightly to him. Tears soaked Kevin’s sleeve quickly, but Jeremy didn’t say anything, just clung all the tighter.
