school was v rough today so i'm just gonna do replies/respond to starters tomorrow!!

Gemma looked at Ricky with a smile, “Thanks.” She said before moving into a new pose. “Tell me again why you won’t do this with me? Do you know how relaxing and good for you it is.”

ricky laughed at her question, closing his book and turning to look at her. “because there’s no possible way i’m flexible enough to do any of that,” he answered honestly. “plus, just laying here is really relaxing.”

Gemma decided to spend the day by the lake before the storm came. It was sort of a nice day out and thought working on some yoga poses by the water would help her relax and clear her head. She laid out a towel and started on the downward dog pose but it wasn’t long until she spotted someone watching her, “Take a picture, it’ll last longer.” She said with a little sarcasm in her voice.

laying out on his own towel reading, ricky looked up from his book to see what the girl was talking about. ricky shook his head at the other guy who was being not so inconspicuous about eyeing gemma. “just go away, perv,” he commented with little interest before returning back to his novel.

“can you believe when i was younger i wanted to be a rodeo clown? and one year for halloween i actually was one. then my friend wanted to join in on it and decided to be a bull, so they kept on chasing me around all that halloween night. it was crazy. — uh, sorry, off topic. what were you saying?”

“out of all the things to choose, you chose a rodeo clown? no thanks, clowns freaked me out. and now i can’t even remember since i’m picturing you as a rodeo clown.”

“well of course, i’m your friend so i’m going to support you and your beautiful tan.” she laughed, already feeling better since she had a friend with her. “i don’t want to risk it though, what if you touch my pinky and start coughing and get sick! i would feel so guilty because then i’d ruin your camping experience!” it wouldn’t ruin it, but she tended to be dramatic with these things. “we’re in the wilderness, i’m sure if you walk enough you’ll find a quiet place free from campers and counselors alike.”

“would you still support me if i told you i have some really bad tan lines, though?” he asked, raising an eyebrow. though he was glad that she had visibly started to seem like she was feeling better, even if it was just her mood. “i have an immune system of steel, a little contact is not going to affect me in anyway,” ricky shook his head, not surprised that suzy would be thinking that far into the scenario. “i’m sure i could. i’ll get right on that.”

suzy relied on ricky for most of her fun at camp, already considering him one of her good friends if not a best friend. “i can tell, you’re tan is improving. i’m so proud of you, you’re tan for your art show is already improving.” she teased, her voice raspy to show how sick she was. “i can’t give you my pinkie right now, i’m not gonna risk getting you sick!” she exclaimed, worried for her friends help. “good, but why haven’t you been writing here?”

“thank you, i really appreciate it,” he grinned, though a slight hint of worry appeared as her voice turned raspy, just because ricky hadn’t completely realised how sick she was. “a pinkie will not infect me,” he pointed out, “plus, our pinkie promise wouldn’t be legit if we didn’t actually use our pinkies.” ricky laughed, shaking his head at himself. “oh, only because i’ve been busy. and it’s hard to find a quiet place to write, you know? though i’ll find one eventually.”

“of course i’m sure, and even if i wasn’t it wouldn’t do anything. unless someone is going to sue me for slander.”

“understandable, but i doubt a slander case would go anywhere.”

“well how have you been ricky? catch me up on the woes and tales of your life, make it sound like a story and entertain me with it. my life is so dull i need to live vicariously through others fun times.” she explained, trying to lighten the mood and take the attention away from her. “no they won’t, i believe in you and you should believe in yourself! pinky promise you’ll show me soon? cross your heart and hope to die?”

ricky laughed, leaning back into his chair. he hadn’t really done anything too exciting, but he figured that he should tell her something just so she wouldn’t be bored. “i’ve been good, bored without having you around. i went swimming again, got a little bit of a tan,” he told her with a shrug of his shoulders. “oh, well thanks, suzy. i pinkie promise,” he agreed, offering her his pinkie finger. “cross my heart and hope to die.”

“Ohh, don’t worry! I’m fine. There is no need to help me get down from this tree. I’ll…” then Danielle acidentally stepped on… Well just fell off from the tree, landing in small bush under it.

“Oh God… Could… Somebody…?”

raising an eyebrow, ricky didn’t buy that the other was truly okay, but he wasn’t going to stay if she didn’t need his help. just as he turned around to go the other direction, he heard danielle fall into the bushes. “holy shit, okay.” he muttered under his breath before offering her his hand. “maybe you should try to figure out a less dangerous way to get down next time.”

“Fingers crossed, and toes crossed because I really wanna get better.” She giggled, at least she could be happy and have some type of fun while stuck in bed. “Stop bringing yourself down, your arts and crafts will be beautiful! That reminds me, you need to show me some of your writing!”

“you will. just eat some soup and lay down and you’ll be fine in no time,” he reassured her, hoping that she would end up feeling better soon enough. “you say that now, but just wait. they’ll be on the same level as a five year olds. and i haven’t really been writing a lot since i got here, but i’ll show you, okay?”

“yes i’m listening i swear - i just, i need to finish my coffee before i can really figure out what the hell you’re saying.” levi told the other as he was taking another drink from the glass, hand running into his hair then as he was shaking his head. “i’m sure it’s really important, but without at least two cups of coffee in me, i’m useless.”

as he was about to continue, levi’s words finally registered and he nodded his head, understanding the need for coffee. he wasn’t addicted to coffee, but in the mornings, it had always given him the extra push he needed. “alright, well. once you get your two cups in, i figured you’d want to know that there are some twelve year olds about to fight over a girl or something in front of the mess hall.”

“Oh no, I’m going to miss out on my first party!” She was so innocent, she hadn’t been to a party or been kissed or done anything. “Oh that’d be so much fun, doing some cute little arts and crafts in bed.”

“no way, you’ll feel better sooner than you realise,” he flashed a grin, hoping that she would feel back to normal soon. “exactly. i mean, mine won’t be fantastic, but it’ll be better than you sitting in here not doing anything.”

“You don’t even have to have experience to notice that, everyone has some secret affair going on and the counselors are reeking of sex.”

“well, i guess i just haven’t really been paying attention to it. and you’re 100% sure about this?”

“You don’t just carry an ice bucket around at all times?” Oli joked with a small grin. “I could take the walk with you, though. I just might be a little slow.”

“no, i just forgot it today,” he teased the other. “it’s fine, i’m not in any rush. i’ve been in your place more times than i can count.”

“Do you have any ice? I had at least three girls kick my shins today trying to play soccer.” Oli said with a wince. “Apparently my legs are replacing the balls.”

“i don’t have any with me,” ricky said with a small grin, understanding the pain. “but i can go get you some from the kitchen or something.”
