If you're wondering what I'm working on these days, this is it! I've been putting out multiple updates a day and most of my creative efforts go into DQ, so if you're not following the story, why not give it a shot?

i know you dont really use this site anymore, but ill shoot my shot bc im curious. in this piece of fanart for ice pack, he had the tagline 'its a business doing pleasure with you', which is also Pandora's slogan in pack street. was this a coincidence, or were you inspired by that piece to incorporate it into PS?

Yep! It's a running throughline/callback sort of thing. I enjoyed bringing it back.

Always feels nice giving old works little nods in new works. Helps me feel I have some kind of linear continuity in my career, I suppose.

Certainly a longer hiatus than I intended but things fell apart a bit in October and then I've got various excuses, some more valid than others, and anyway here we are

I don’t know if you’ve answered this already, but what are the animal species of the boxdog characters?

The Boxdog cast were all made up animal-like amalgams; other than Cancer Rat (who, as you may guess, was a rat) none of them were specific animals. Boxdog herself was neither a box nor a dog, and had a tail like a fox.

So the short answer is none!

i know you still post on twitter, but i try to avoid that place. Are there any plans to start uploading to w.secret.graphics again?

yes, it's been on hold since my friend who helped me maintain it disappeared, and then the events that followed put it low on my priorities

but I'm coming back to it soon, as well as some other important things

hi! do you think we could get a pronunciation guide for all the names in divequest? i've been worrying over whether i'm saying them correctly since i read the comic, it'd be nice to get an official, concrete answer

Sure! I didn't see this for ages so let me run down the list. These may not be that helpful since my phonetic writing is unpracticed and I don't understand the official phonetic alphabet anyway lol

Muschio Malto: MOO-she-YO MALL-toe

Finesse seng Barr: this one is already basically phonetic

Babrakus: buh-BRACK-iss

Tislomer: tizz-LOW-mer

Coriander Salamander: CORE-ee-ANN-der

Arabella: AIR-uh-BELL-uh

Ashedel: ASH-uh-DELL

Dompag: i dunno how to spell this phonetically other than how you see it here. Rhymes with mom bag.

Marjani "Ona" Openda: mar-JAH-nee OH-nuh oh-PEN-duh

Hard to believe I've closed out 3 chapters since I returned to this. Time sure flies.

Extremely excited to finally be back on the DiveQuest train, updating daily and usually with multiple new panels. Feels good. Helps keep my mind on the future.

ruby quest 15th anniversary

2008 - 2023

posted this on my twitter earlier, but heres a somewhat mediocre drawing i did to celebrate the 15th anniversary of ruby quest :]

im a newer fan of rq & it's associated media but im really grateful for these quests, its kinda stupid to say this out loud but it kinda helped me out of a depressive rut a while back and alas is the reason why so much of my newer stuff is inspired or based on ruby quest

hell, i even ripped my name straight from ruby from rq

so big thanks to weaver and everyone who partook in the original run of rubyquest all of these years back, wishin y'all a good one :]

Hard to believe a decade and a half has passed since then. Even now it's probably my most enduring work, though I would say not my best.

Writing RQ helped me in a really dark time in my life. It's part of why I'm trying to immerse myself in art again, now.

There was sadness then, but there were good times after, too. To paraphrase Bob Ross, life always has that contrast -- and sadness helps us recognize the good times.

I'm waiting on the good times now.

after several previously failed attempts and a life changing tragedy

hey folks it’s me (ya boy) Weaver and I’m going to be working to continue and very shortly conclude the story of Ice Pack and Danganya, a way old story about OCs that went on hiatus for so long the show it was based on ended and the fandom moved on! Perfect time to get back to it

but the real reason is I just want an actual conclusion on this thing I guess, so I can move on to other projects

I’ll also be trying to close out Boxdog soon for similar reasons. That comic has dragged on in a zombie state for the better part of a goddamn decade and it’s well past time to put a cap on both so I can focus all my energies on other projects without this black hole in my brain
