I’ve been “recovering” for 3 months. But now I’m back my lowest weight was 46 KG and then I started gaining again I am now 54KG and it’s time to loose it so I’m going to be doing a little bit of everything ik to loose weight if yk what I mean💎🍴🚫
Today, I went to my parents house, and they ordered pizza and cake. When my dad opened the door, he hugged me, then stepped back and said, “You’re looking skinny.” I smiled proudly and said, “Thank you,” to which he responded, “It’s not a compliment.” Then my mom started questioning me about whether I’m eating.
When I was 12, around 2022, I got into a huge fight with my best friend, who was my everything. We stopped talking, and it broke my heart. My relationship with my mother was already terrible, and I started gaining weight. I’d always been skinny and fit, exercising a lot, but that changed. At 13, in 2023, I gained the most weight when my mom pulled me out of school and kept me isolated at home for over six months, from July 2023 to September 2023. I wasn’t allowed to see or talk to anyone, and I felt trapped. My dad was struggling with drug addiction, but I sided with him. By then, I weighed 65 kg at a height of 158 cm, which felt obese. Kids at school called me fat, and I felt like the heaviest person there compared to my cute, petite best friend. This is when I started developing my eating disorder.
By December 2023, I had lost about 3 kg, dropping to 60 kg with small efforts. In 2024, I got serious about losing weight and went down to 58 kg, sometimes hitting 56 kg, but I couldn’t maintain it and stayed stuck at 58 kg for most of the year.
In early August 2025, I got really sick and lost 6 kg in just two days, bringing me to 52 kg. I was extremely dehydrated because I was vomiting constantly—my body rejected everything, even water. It felt like I was dying, and my stomach was in constant pain. When I first got sick, it felt like a cold. My temperature wouldn’t regulate, and I was shivering. Around that time, my boyfriend’s mom told us we needed to figure out our living situation, which meant I had to talk to my parents—something I hadn’t done in a long time. The stress of preparing for that conversation triggered a severe anxiety attack that lasted about three hours. My parents thought I might have taken something or wasn’t eating properly, but it was just stress.
After the conversation with my parents, I returned to my boyfriend’s house, For context, I live with my boyfriend and his family because my parents don’t have a room for me in their apartment, and there are other personal issues with them. and my stomach started hurting badly—a tight, cramp-like pressure between my ribs, right in the center of my stomach. I took a hot shower, sitting under the water to ease the pain, and it helped temporarily. But when I got out, the pain returned. I called my mom, and she and my boyfriend came to get me. At their apartment, I slept in the shower with hot water running, and my amazing boyfriend stayed with me in the bathroom.
The next day, my mom took me to the doctor. We arrived at 8 a.m. but weren’t seen until 11 a.m., leaving around 1 p.m. It was exhausting. I stayed at my parents’ place for a week, where my mom slept on the floor to give me the bed. My 19-year-old brother didn’t want to stay at his girlfriend’s house (she’s my boyfriend’s sister) because it didn’t feel like home. That week, I could only manage chicken soup, yogurt, and Gatorade—my body rejected water. I stayed at 52 kg. One day, the doctor said I was having a panic attack and recommended I see a psychologist or psychiatrist. I went to one session with a psychologist, but afterward, I told my mom I wasn’t going back to her apartment. She got upset, yelling that I’d get worse and would regret it, but I left anyway.
When I got back to my boyfriend’s house, I felt awful at first, nervous about how my parents would react—whether they’d get mad or cause a scene. I hadn’t eaten proper food in over two weeks. Then I craved Chinese food, and my boyfriend got some for me. I could only eat a few tiny pieces of chicken and pasta, but it was adorable, and it was the first proper meal I’d had. During that time, when I was sick and vomiting, I looked so skinny. Eating the Chinese food helped me feel better because my body had been rejecting everything due to how much I was controlling my food intake. After eating normally again, I went up to 53 kg and stayed there for about two weeks.
Yesterday, September 12, 2025, I woke up with cold-like symptoms again, just like in August. Today, September 13, 2025, my temperature won’t regulate, and my stomach feels like it’s shutting down, which is making me anxious. The anxiety is causing more stomach pain, and I’m scared it’s happening all over again. But I’m also kind of excited because I’m already down to 51 kg. My boyfriend is making me a salad so I don’t “die again.” I’ll update later on how I’m feeling.
