i logged onto twitter to see ppl talking vasio.. maybe it's the fandom goggles (and i know some are jokes) but i don't think the decisions made r that serious rly! from crumbs noda had already given us, vasily has a colorful inner world and even imagines ogata in a pleasant way, so it all clicks.. and i think they gave him more lines to make the anime a bit more engaging (like the comedy in his first scene relied on his poetic melodramatism contrasted with sugimoto's remark) and to hammer his existence in the first place into the heads of people watching casually. even if his narration seems redundant at times, i don't think it makes him any less "mysterious", and the production realistically wouldn't be able to emphasize the mystery instead anyways. of course anime doesn't come close to the manga's potential but it's almost always been like this and i enjoy this humble burger they are blessing me with.. they're giving me a burger.. it's fun
