âOh, Thanos. If only I were swayed so easily. You and I both know itâll take much more than $1000, to rid of my presence. And even then, we both also know; that getting under your skin, is my absolute favorite pass time. Iâm not going anywhere, dip.â She said with a smug smirk, moving to sit even closer to the male; and bumping their shoulders together, as if they were joking with one another. âSeems as though youâre stuck with me, you ought to be thankful actually. I donât befriend just anyone, Than; youâve got to be a special type of asshole, to connect with me. And you fit that category, perfectly. Anyhow, I know that youâve literally nothing to do today, expect for bitch and complain about life, yada yada yada. So! Youâve been hand selected to accompany me, with my trip to the mall. Which, you actually, donât have a choice but coming along. Get whatever you need to bring, and letâs get moving.âÂ
-- âThen $100,000? Or half a million?â Thanos offered, a frown tugging at his lips. It wasnât that he didnât love Poppy, he actually did. She was his best friend and he loved her deeply, but he was... Not doing the whole âsocial interactionâ thing. Or at least, not on a Poppy level. âI am not going shopping either, why do you have to drag me on these outings? Is it just to torture me?â It took only a moment, before Thanos changed his mind. He stood up from his seat and wrapped his arm around Poppyâs shoulders, âI have one request if Iâm going to be your bitch for the day.â He paused, waiting to gauge her reaction, âyouâre buying me all my food today. That includes coffee, and you know how much coffee I drink.â A grin pulled at his lips, they both had enough money, more than they needed honestly, but he knew Poppy would react with fake outrage. Thatâs just how their friendship was. They poked and jested with each other, pretended to hate one and other even though, way, way inside of them, there was a deep love and respect that would never see the light of day.
-- Thanos wasnât really one to care about others, but sometimes, once in a blue moon, he found himself feeling considerate in some way. Though, this arguably could be a selfish visit to Kaito, he had still texted ahead of time, warning that he was bringing presents and wine for the man. And maybe treats of other sorts if Kaito was up for it. It had almost been a month since his birthday had occurred and everyone deserved a little bit of celebration after all. At least thatâs what Thanos thought. He arrived at the home and rang the doorbell, wondering if heâd have to wait long for the man to welcome him in.Â

âI know you donât. I think youâve agreed with me maybe twice in the whole time iâve known youâmaybe.â Thanos wasnât known for his ability to get along with others, and even the even-tempered wendigo found him difficult to deal with. He would have been astounded to know if there was a person on this planet that didnât immediately find themselves irritated when in the warlockâs presence. âThatâs about right, yeah,â he replied, a glimmer of amusement in his expression. âThese spells arenât exactly built for everyone to use. Itâs not supposed to be easy. Actually, for the average spell-caster, theyâre supposed to be impossible.â Thinking outside of the box was generally necessary with magic, but when it came to more high level spells, there was often a need to take it up a notch. Several notches, in fact. âI donât think so. See, it still has to be a toothâif we could just use clay, thatâd be too easy. Iâve been looking intoââ He broke off, Thanosâ suggestion causing him to cock a brow. âYou want us to steal a what?â
-- Thanos would ie and try to blame Jackson for the both of them not getting along, but he knew that it was his fault. He didnât really care that it was on him either. He didnât have to get along with Jackson, additionally, Jackson didnât have too even interact with him. But here they were, Jackson giving him help with an intense spell, and he didnât even have too. He mightâve been obnoxious and awful to put up with, but Jackson was no better since he stuck around for his own benefit. âIâm not saying magic should be accessible, Iâm just saying it needs to be better in a lot of respects,â he rolled his eyes before pulling out his phone. He shouldâve known that Jackson wouldâve had no idea what he was talking about when he said the word âdinosaurâ. The man grew up and lived in Soulmeria and then The Eye for most of his life and hadnât had any desire to assimilate to Earth more than he needed too. Once the picture finally loaded on his phone, he slid it across the table to Jackson. âDo you think something like this could work?â

The surgeon sighed softly as he listened to Thanos. âIf thatâs your way of polite conversation, you and I might define âpoliteâ very differently,â Alexei hummed lightly. âAnd I never said Iâm going to bed; I just said Iâm heading home.â Cocking a brow at Thanosâ mock emotional display, the blonde crossed his arms over his chest, a smile playing at his lips. âI donât remember a law being passed about it, but then again, Iâm not much of a lawyer. Though I beg to differ that you know it better than I do.â
-- âI mean-- compared to how Iâm usually, I think Iâm being quite polite,â Thanos smirked at Alexei. âWell, I can come with you then. Youâre an attractive young dad after all, you need someone to keep you all young and spry and not boring.â He reached out and poked Alexâs chest, the smirk never leaving his face once. It was cruel to say, but he loved messing with Alexei. Though, he was cruel.
fysabre --
âOh Jesus,â he bemoaned his friends apparent discontent with the flippant remark, uttered purely for the sake of banter. âDonât tell me I hurt your feelings with that shit. If I had a dollar for every time someone said Iâd upset them, Iâd be a billionaire by now.â Rolling his shoulders, Sabre let his head loll to the side, his gaze drifting to the other males. âI was kidding. Youâre my right-hand man, better?â
-- Thanos couldnât help the laughter that bubbled up inside of him and fell back into the couch, shaking his head, âjeez, youâre so gullible, Sab! Youâre like a mushy little cloud, I could tell you anything and youâd eat it right up.â He threw a pillow from the couch at him, an evil grin pulling at his lips. âYou donât need to be a billionaire when youâve got me though. Just saying, I could probably pay for the whole town for the rest of my life, still live comfortably, and leave money for any heirs...â

Carmen chuckled, nodding in agreement. It was completely the wrong movie to watch, but in her defense, she didnât know any better. She needed to blend when she first came to earth and movies and the internet was the right way to do so. Granted, she gave up on most movies after she realized just what a false imagine they sold of the world. âWell, letâs just say I dislike humans for a reason, seven days Thanos. Seven days was all it took for people to act horrendously.â Her tone was held confusion because while Carmen did plenty of questionable things, her ultimate goal was survival. The people in the movie did it just because they could. She quirked a brow as Thanos answered her question one by one, her features held curiosity more so than anything. âI suppose youâre right, itâs so rare to hear that a wix died of natural causes, not unheard but rare. Guess itâs better he died that way than by Seekers.â Her gaze falling to the twirling cheesecake popsicle. âDo you ever communicate with him?âÂ
-- Thanos chuckled bitterly before nodding in agreement, he didnât have much else to say on the subject of humans other than âI hate them and theyâre terribleâ so he kept his mouth shut instead. âNatural causes, actual murder, whatever happened is in the past. Right now, we just focus on trying to keep his ghost happy. Oh, yeah, no. Not Seekers. My mom thinks it was actually someone in The Eye...â He trailed off, shaking his head as though the idea was insane but he knew better himself. âMe? Nah, Iâm not into that whole âtalking with the deadâ thing. I feel like it just brings about more bad vibes, yâknow? Like as wix, we already deal with enough. We gotta give ourselves a break somewhere.â
fysabre --
A sharp bark of laughter left Sabreâs lips, surprising even himself with the thunderous quality it contained. Thanos really didnât listen well, either that or he drowned the vampire out during his endless prattling on about the disgusting werewolves roaming Bright Haven. âDudeâŠâ he complained, the sound akin to a whine. âI hate those horrible furry fuckers. They are the worst creatures to ever exist.â Shuddering with the grievance, Sabre balled a napkin from the table into his hands and tossed it at Thanosâ head. âIâm sure Iâd cope,â he teased with a smile. âBut youâre good to have around in case our nefarious deeds get us into too much and I gotta split, leaving you to take the punishment.âÂ
--Â âRight, right...â Thanos could slightly recall multiple occasions where Sabre highlighted exactly why all werewolves in Bright Haven were scum, but he was extremely intoxicated so his memory wasnât his best attribute at the moment. He frowned at Sabre, shaking his head as he slowly sat up. âYouâd cope but you wouldnât have a partner in crime anymore. And I resent the fact that I am just your fall guy. I am definitely more than that.â
jacksoncarver --
âSince when do you ever agree with me?â It was safe to say that Thanos and Jack didnât see eye-to-eye on most things, but somehow they hadnât gotten annoyed enough to walk away. Personally, Jack gave himself the most creditâthere was literally nobody on Earth more irritating than Thanos Banis, and whatever gripes the warlock found with him were much more minimal. âItâs my concern if you canât get one,â he pointed out, but allowed himself to let the subject drop. There was nothing to be gained from continuously fighting with Thanos on every step⊠at least, not all in one afternoon. Thereâd be enough time for shoving him in the right directions later on, once more of the spell was prepared. âNext youâll need a dragonâs tooth,â he said, not even bothering to hide a roll of his eyes. Mr. Professor? Really? âThe problem with that is, well⊠even in Soulmeria theyâre just myths. The good thing about magic is that sometimes symbolism really is the better option. We just have to figure out how to make it convincing.â Unfortunately, it wasnât as easy as printing out a pictureâit still had to be a tooth.
-- âIâm just stating that I donât agree, thatâs all.â He shifted a bit uncomfortably, knowing that the tension here was because he had been notoriously unreliable in the past, obviously he had to change that if he wanted to be taken seriously in magic. But he didnât like that idea, he knew there was a way to be him and be a serious wix, he just didnât know the balance. âAre you fucking with me?â His eyes were wide, âdragons arenât real and yet wix are like, âyeah, sorry punk but youâre going to need a dragonâs tooth for this spell, good luck, see ya in the next realm.â I hate them.â He sighed heavily and fell back into his chair, staring at him as he continued to speak. âBut uh-- okay, uhm-- that pottery place? Maybe we could commission something? Or like, steal a dinosaur tooth, or something.â

Callista is certain now that much of her interactions with Thanos ends with her most dejected silences of all time â she doesnât have enough of a vulgar vocabulary to compete against him, and her magic is far from being used to harm others⊠she canât bring herself to hurt him, even if she desperately wanted to. The witch can feel her eye twitch, an instinctive reaction to Thanosâs terrible newfound nickname. âDo I look like a care bear to you?â Callista can only do so much as clench her jaw tightly, rolling her eyes at him. âGod, fine. If Iâm obnoxious, then I hope you know that youâre irritating. If Iâm the fucking sugar plum fairy, then youâre the actual devil. Happy?â
She almost misses it â that frown on his face that Callista canât help but squint at. âI can name a handful of people who would set a fire for me.â Her heart picks up speed when she realizes that no, she actually canât ( but he wonât pick up on that lie, will he? ). âWhy do you look so upset? Itâs not like youâll lose a limb if you admit it, Thanos. I promise I wonât hold it against you ever again.â Callista, as much as sheâs annoyed by him, enjoys pushing him just as much. Itâs not fun when only one of them gets to react. âIâm not wound up so tightâŠâ But sheâs upset by it, isnât she? âYouâre dawdling, Satan. Are you going to open that bottle or not?â
-- âActually, now that you mention it,â Thanos started with a grin pulling across his face slowly. âYou do kind of look like a Carebear. Maybe Friend Bear? Or Harmony Bear?â He grinned over at her, he saw her jaw was clenched and he just couldnât believe how easy it was for him to get to her. âIâm glad you think Iâm the devil, but Iâm no where near as bad as someone in that high regard to humans. And thatâs good and all for them, donât flatter yourself thinking that I would do it as well.â Once they were a safe distance from the fire, just far enough to watch it and not actually get caught in it, he sat down on the surface of a nearby picnic table. It was a less than graceful situation, but it was better than sitting on the ground at least. At this time, he allowed his wand to slide out of his sleeve and with a flick of his wrist, the cork came out of the bottle perfectly. Another flick of the wand and two glasses appeared. He poured and handed her one. âCome on now, Little Miss Sunshine.â
severing-angel --Â
As if Alexei did not have enough to deal with; from his rather stressful job to an influx of patients, to wendigos and vampires and lots of bad things trying to eat him or sleep with him or both, he was now riddled with two⊠rather frustrating people who all but wanted to bother him whenever they got the chance. At first the surgeon didnât think much of it, finding their company rather⊠annoying but endearing in a bit, but after a while, it just got in the way of his work, his personal life, everything. They were just everywhere. If not together, then separately, and that made it even more bothersome.
Of course, the angel honestly didnât mind that much. He knew it wasnât⊠out of malicious intent, so he bore it with a kind heart and a warm smile. But regardless, even after long days at the hospital, when all he wanted to do was to go home and shower and rest, somehow, they knew when to appear. Like tonight. With Thanos. Oh god.
ââŠHello Thanos,â Alexei said curtly to the otherâs voice, pausing a little in his tracks to turn around, seeing the younger man approach him. It was a bit of a surprise, granted that he didnât see Thanos in the first place, but now that the other was hereâŠÂ âItâs been a long day at work,â he murmured, only raising a brow at the compliment (??). âI look the same as I always do, Thanos. Except maybe a little more exhausted than usual. So if you donât mind me, Iâll be heading home.â
-- There was nothing Thanos loved more than magic and annoying people, and sometimes the two of those crossed paths, but for now they were just on the second option. For now. âOh, câmon, Alexei dear, Iâm just trying to make polite conversation with you, thatâs all. You donât need to look so down in the dumps that Iâm even talking to you. You canât possibly be going to bed already, itâs only...â He checked his phone quickly before fake shock spread across his face. â8:30 in the evening, the night hasnât even begun, how could you even think about bed at this hour, Iâm pretty sure itâs illegal.â There was a smirk pulling across his lips though, he was determined to bother him just a bit longer, it was no fun when things were cut off.

Maddox rolled his eyes, laughing. âYou could⊠perhaps learn how to cook curly fries. Even the frozen ones, maybe.â He, of course, loved to cook and bake, so that was his suggestion to everyone. It was a handy skill, anyway. He listened to his friendâs idea and nodded, understanding. It didnât seem all too hard, and he hoped he could do the sigil justice. âAll right. Iâm keeping your phone handy.â Maddox said, taking it and studying the design carefully. It didnât look too bad and could definitely be done fairly quick. âiâm honored that you want me to do it, wow. I mean, Iâll do a good job, but I hope it works, too. iâm no warlock, after all, but⊠Iâm sure as long as youâve got it on yourself, it should work pretty okay.â He nodded surely and looked up at Thanos with a bright grin, getting his equipment, ready to wipe at whatever part of his body he wanted it. âSo, whereâs this going?â
-- âIâve actually tried, it... Didnât work too well, Iâm rich, Iâm not stupid. I just canât get the fries to curl, even with magic. Iâm not good in the kitchen,â Thanos teased, he knew he was easy to poke fun at, especially because of his money, and he wasnât ashamed of that and it didnât annoy him. But he did like to prove people wrong where he could. âYeah, do that, I... I want this to work, I really want it to work,â he smiled back brightly, honestly, a little excited for the tattoo that was about to grace his arm, and he was glad that Maddox agreed to do this for him. He quickly shirked the outer layer of button up shirt he was wearing over his t-shirt so that his arm was fully available. âOkay, I want it right here,â he tapped his left forearm, âsince this is the arm I do most of my magic with, I think it makes the most sense to have it channelling through me, yâknow? And if this works Iâll have you do all my other sigil tattoos...â

Rolling his eyes with the inquiry, Sabre pinched the bridge of his nose and looked towards the blonde lounging on his couch. The vampire himself reclined in a wingback armchair, feet raised off the floor and legs draped over the arm. Itâd been a long night for the both of them and Sabreâs inebriated friend had somehow found himself at the vampires door once more. He wasnât surprised, or really irritated by the intrusion⊠he actually kind of liked it. Kept him from thinking too much. Events as of recent had been⊠thought provoking, to say the least. âKill you,â he muttered beneath his breath, a smirk stealing over his lips as he met Thanosâ eyes. He was joking, the other would know that. âI dunno⊠I guess Iâd⊠slaughter every single werewolf in Bright Haven. You?â
-- Thanos knew that Sabre was joking, his friend was just like that. They both were morbid, kind of pessimistic guys, but that was just because they both had a little evil in them. Sabre definitely had more than Thanos though and it manifested in more ways than one, which Thanos loved. It made him feel like he didnât constantly have to be on guard, it was relaxing, extra relaxing while he was inebriated. âDonât kill me, who would you do all your fun bad things with then?â He teased with a grin on his lips. âThatâs a little more savage though, why the animosity towards werewolves again? I canât remember if this is a new thing or if this has always been a thing...â
carmenakerman --Â
âSo Iâve seen. I watched this movie a while ago to try to blend in and stuff. I mustâve picked the wrong one, it wasâŠwrong.â Carmen wasnât someone that is flooded with empathy, no, but Carmen never did anything without reason. When she killed someone, she did it quickly. She never took her time or pleasure in torturing or prolonging the death of someone. âThe Stanford Experiment, that was the name of the movie.â Once she recalled the titled, Carmen took a bit of her cheesecake, savoring the flavor before making an actual decision if she liked it. Once she swallowed the food, she licked her lips as she glanced down at the simplicity of it. A chuckle escaping from her, âokay, stupid concept but itâs good. Iâll admit that.â She would have to run later to burn off the bite. She twirled the stick in her hand as she listened to him speak about his dead uncle. Her eyebrows furrowed together in slight confusion, âso many questions just came from that. Do you think it was foul play? How close was your family to your uncle? What triggered your mom to think it was foul play?â She had many more questions naturally, the death of a supernatural creature was always interesting. They werenât easy targets. There was quite a bit of power that came with being a supernatural creature. âDo you ever miss him?â She questioned as her gaze looked up at him.Â
-- Thanos was expecting the girl to say something like âDumboâ or maybe âThe Tooth Fairyâ featuring Dwayne The Rock Johnson, but not The Stanford Experiment. It took him a moment to register her comment and figure out how poorly it could affect someone so unfamiliar with Earth culture. âYeah uh-- I can imagine that was the wrong movie, how uh-- how did that fare for you?â He asked, trying to contain the amusement so obviously laced in his voice. He took another bite of the cheesecake and just stared at it for a moment, trying to avoid going back down memory lane about his uncle too much. There were things there that just didnât have to be discussed. âItâs very good...â He mumbled, âbut yeah, my mom thinks it was because a powerful wix wanted him gone, since he was pretty powerful himself. Knock out the competition or something, but thereâs nothing to prove. His autopsy came back stable, there was no trace of any magical murdering in his body, he was fine. And yeah, course I miss him. He was my uncle, he taught me a lot about... Everything I know. He was important but people come and go and such.âÂ
jacksoncarver --
âYeah, and I said it anyway,â he retorted, rolling his eyes. Thanos could be such a child sometimes, and despite the fact that heâd reached adulthood, Jack found it difficult not to treat him like an ornery teenager. It was a miracle that the two of them managed to get anything done at allâsomething heâd take most of the credit inâbut he knew that in spite of their arguing that they seemed to actually be getting somewhere. The warlock had someone to rely on for the magic he couldnât cast himself, and the instruction from someone whoâd once had enough knowledge-based mastery to make sure things were done relatively well. Tied in with Thanosâ own natural talent, the only real obstacle was his insufferable attitude. It was unfortunate that h so often let it get the better of him. âIâve given you enough credit,â he said, reaching up to massage at one of his temple; âyouâre going to have to do more than blackmail a witch to get more praise out of me.â He didnât totally believe that sheâd be compensated fairly, given what it took to deal with the warlock, but he knew that there werenât very many other ways to get the light magic that theyâd need. It wasnât as though Jack could cast anything, anymore. âOkay, so weâve got the light magic. Where are you going to find the sunstone? Got any other contacts I should be aware of?â They werenât rare in Soulmeria⊠but on Earth? Things were different.
-- Thanos had half a mind to just get up and leave, or use magic in some way, but thatâd be impulsive and stupid, itâd prove Jackson right that he wasnât mature enough to handle this. He knew he was a pain to work with, but he also showed results, which he had expected to give him some semblance of trust. There was skill there, especially combining both f their knowledge and reach. âI donât agree,â he grumbled, leaning forward a bit. âOkay, notes say sunstone. I can get one, how I do so is none of your concern alright? Keep things on the safe side of it all for at least one of us.â He figured he could rummage through Ambroseâs old things. Whether it was his resources for spells, which Thanos inherited, or his old contacts book (or maybe it was a hit list? Thanos had never been sure). There was a moment of hesitance that had taken over his body, wondering if this spell was even worth going through with, espcially considering he didnât understand what exactly it was for. But he realized if he executed it properly, than Jackson would owe him a favor. âWhat next Mr. Professor?âÂ
