He's gonna need a trip to Versace after that one
Pleased to present the start of yet another FFXVI series of paintings I have planned
So we begin with the first and last king of Waloed
Barnabas Tharmr and his ever loyal Sleipnir
Barnabas first primes as Odin after the fall of his mother, its heartbreaking for his 18 year old self and yet this is what he must go through to become the servant of his god Ultima, something his older self would go through again and again to fulfil his destiny.
King of Waloed
I've been working on ffxvi tarot cards (only 3 left!), and I had to share Barnabas' one as a solo drawing because I'm way too proud of it

Barnabas Tharmr, the King of Waloed, lay naked next to Benedikta Harman, his commander of the Royal Spies. The aftermath of their intense night lingered in the air, marked by Barnabas' insatiable desire and dominant nature. Benedikta, the powerful Garuda with her alluring curves and blonde bobbed hair, had spent the night in his bed, fully aware that to Barnabas, she was merely a means to an end.
Barnabas had taken what he wanted, and while Benedikta relished the physical fulfillment he provided, she secretly longed for more. She desired the powerful king who fascinated her with his strength and unyielding demeanor. Yet, deep down, she still harbored feelings for Cid, the man who had left her. Her unresolved anger and disappointment drove her into Barnabas' arms, seeking solace and revenge.
Barnabas knew well the feelings Benedikta had for Cid. He understood that her rage and pain had brought her to him, and he exploited this vulnerability. Benedikta was easy to mold, and Barnabas had clear plans for her. Their nights together were marked by hard dominance and intense passion. He satisfied her in ways that deepened her feelings for him, though he himself felt no true affection.
Their lovemaking lasted for hours, each round more intense than the last. Barnabas was a man driven by lust and power, taking what he wanted. To him, Benedikta was a tool to be used in fulfilling his destiny. His god, Ultima, had set a clear path, and Barnabas was determined to follow it. Benedikta was to be made ready for Mythos, and only through his hand would she achieve this.
Barnabas saw Benedikta as nothing more than a means to an end. Their physical relationship was a reward, a pleasure he indulged in, but he never allowed real intimacy. After each night, he sent Benedikta away, her presence in his bed only fleeting. He needed no further emotional bonds, as the only true affection he had ever felt was for his mother, whom he lost at 18.
Benedikta, impressed by Barnabas' dominance and strength, found a certain fulfillment in their nights together. Yet, deep inside, she knew this relationship was not love. Barnabas provided the physical comfort she sought, but he could not fill the void in her heart. Her thoughts constantly returned to Cid, and she wondered if she would ever truly escape this cycle of dependency and pain.
Barnabas, the King of Waloed, remained relentless in his mission. To him, Benedikta was a necessary tool to achieve his destiny and serve Ultima. Their nights were filled with intense lust and dominance, but they meant nothing more to him. He was driven by a higher purpose, and nothing would deter him from this path.
So the nights passed, one after another, and the relationship between Barnabas and Benedikta remained a complex mix of power, desire, and unfulfilled longings. Benedikta was trapped in her dependency on Barnabas, while he used her as a means to a greater end. Their passion burned brightly, but the flames could not fill the emptiness in their hearts. In the darkness of their chambers, they both searched for something they were missing but never truly found.

Years passed and Barnabas, strengthened by the wisdom and power of Odin, traveled the land and won the favor of various tribes and peoples. His reputation as a wise and brave leader spread far and wide, and the people began to regard him as a hero and protector.
One night, Barnabas and his loyal followers stormed the mighty Veldemarke, a fortress once ruled by tyrannical rulers. In a daring and bloody battle, he defeated the guards and conquered the fortress to make it his own.
After the conquest of Veldemarke, Barnabas founded the city of Waloed, which became a center of trade, knowledge and peace in the region. His people revered him as their courageous leader, who fought for a better future out of the grief and pain of his past.
,,Long life Waloed and King Barnabas tharmr"
Caught in the darkness with the power of the infinite. Clouded by the will to read what evil gives us. The pain that accompanies us and shapes us, molds us into an unquenchable thirst for evil.
The will that manipulates our being and makes us weaker Liese. Love, seduction and instincts.
It is the urge for power and strength that makes man evil. Here for crystals and magic. Greed for world domination, whatever may guide us.
The dark blade pierced the flesh, leaving screams that robbed him of his senses. Saturate the blade with blood and steel. Bearers, traitors and the weak who endure the suffering of the world but listen and release their will. Blue clouds like dark, bluish mists envelop you. It sets you free, free from urges, evil and love. You will go to paradise, he promised
,,The world will soon be painted in black. And all that live shall gather in Death's autumn wake,,
Said the King of Waloed. Cold aether ran through his blood, which turned to warmth like the warm embrace of his mother cradling him. The words and his deeds are the proof of his actions. He knew that what he was doing was the right thing, where his lord gave him his power with body and soul that his age would never break through.

I want to be every soulsborne woman at the same time. Why are they all so ethereal and divine and mysterious and powerful and feminine and graceful and elegant and dark and I love women
