Forrest took a few deep breaths as he let his eyes close. He focused on the feeling of Andres’ hands on his face, how they caressed his cheeks. He reached into his pocket, grabbing the box with the ring. His heart was hammering in his chest and then sunk down to one knee, staring up at his prince as he opened the box, presenting the ring to him.

“We’ve been together for what seems like ages and I fall in love with you more each day. I never thought I’d ever feel this way about anyone, but I do for you. I wanted to ask if you would marry me.”

The moment Andres watched him go to his knees, it finally clicked, Now he understood why Forrest had been so nervous -- why he’d been so unlike himself. Marriage... was he really asking him to marry him? Andres felt like he were in a dream. He knew they would always be together -- and really, he was okay with not having any labels. But this... was real, it was permanent, and forever, and suddenly he was crying.

“I... -- I... yes. Of course I will.... Forrest... -- I love you.”

“I’ll stop being a horn dog so we can go on our date, but only for now.”

“What a gentleman.”Andres did laugh then, rolling his eyes only a little before he held out his hand to Forrest, eyes shining with excitement. “Come on.”

The feeling of Andres’ arms around him was a comfort all in itself. He relaxed just enough to think properly, though he was very much nervous still about all of this. He’d never imagined he’d ever get married, let alone know someone well enough to want to ask.

“I have a question to ask you.”

“It’s alright, baby...” His brows furrowed, and he moved to face Forrest now instead, taking his face in his hands. He didn’t want him to be nervous... in all their years together he couldn’t really ever... remember Forrest being nervous. “What is it?”

“And what if I don’t want to stop kissing you?”

Andres bit down on his tongue, holding back his laughter. “Mmm... then I guess we’ll just never go..”

London left for her and Forrest’s room while he talked to Andres. His lips upturned just a bit as Andres said he’d be fine. He felt a little better now. “Okay. If you need anything we’re just a door down.” He paused, contemplating something before kissing the blond’s cheek. “Good night.”

Andres felt his entire face go red, from the tips of his ears to his neck, and he stumbled back into the doorway, nodding. “O-okay... yeah.” He licked his lips and ran his fingers through his hair, praying to the Gods that his face didn’t look as red as it felt. “G-goodnight...”

“Hm okay.” Forrest hums against the Prince’s lips, “When are we going?”

“Mmmmmffff...” Andres mumbled, distracted by their kiss. He even managed a laugh. “I guess as soon as we stop kissing...”

Forrest listened to him play, watched the movement of his hands, the way his hair hung in his face and then the sound of his voice growing, building. It wasn’t one of those moments where you could tell someone had gone to classes for it in that perfect kind of way. It was more natural, more human than any other song he’d ever heard.

When the song ended, Andres placed his guitar aside, and looked up at Forrest. He gave a timid smile as he moved to sit back next to him on the piano bench, and gave a small shrug. “What did you think?”

“I could make you tell me if I really wanted.” Forrest teases, huffing when Andres stuck his tongue out at him, “You’re pretty rude for a prince, you know that right?” He joked as he continued to play with the prince’s hair, “Did I? How?”

Andres scoffed, “You could do no such thing.” He scrunched up his nose, huffing in turn when he was called rude. “I am not...you’re the one who says I’m charming, remember?” He relaxed against Forrest’s chest, trying to figure out how to put his thoughts into words. “I don’t know. It’s like we both chased the darkness out of each other.”

“Oh are you now?” Forrest questioned, arms wrapping around the prince, “Are you willing to tell me where this date is going to take place or is it a surprise?”

Andres moved in front of him now, so he could place a full kiss to his boyfriend’s lips, his eyes sparkling. “Mmmm... it’s a surprise.”

“Yeah, that too of course.” Forrest smiles, turning as the hands fall away. He lets Andres rest his head on his shoulder. “Well hey, beautiful.”

“Hiiii.” He cooed, placing a soft kiss to Forrest’s cheek, before he nuzzled against his shoulder. “Guess what? I’m taking you out on a date.”
