The obvious choice for Bevan would be Sam. But also, I really think I'd like Sam as Hester. I feel like at first he'd despise playing a woman because it's 'immoral' or something but he warms up to it and gets really invested. Also if he's playing the full Hester track we'd of course get the most American character as Willy Watkins. Also something that my sibling suggested earlier was Uncle Deadly as Hester which I could also see really being really cool.

listen I know anti-native racism is not specifically talked about a whole lot and also is deeply ingrained in American culture in a way that makes it difficult for a lot of people to recognize. And like I’m not going to tell someone they’re irredeemable scum for reposting the two wolves inside you meme or dressing up as a cowboy or not being super thoroughly educated on the history of thanksgiving. But at the end of the day the normalization and lack of education around Indigenous history and anti-native racism does not absolve you from your responsibility to learn about these things and to correct your behaviour. It should not be the responsibility of natives to coddle you just because your government didn’t spoon-feed you the history of it’s own worst crimes. You gotta do the work.

i've noticed that people don't leave the same kind of unhinged compliments under fanfics that visual artists usually receive (eg, "i want to eat your art"), so i've come up with a list that you need to start employing when your friends send you their WIPs and when your favorites update on ao3 but you're having a hard time commenting something that sounds intelligent and you still want to support them
