@caprelloidea I love how she doesn’t miss a beat. He is totally nuts sometimes, and she just accepts it all.

“No family to guide her or protect her.”
idk why i felt the need to come here (after a loooong time of not posting) (I just finished watching the latest ep) and say that even though i love Peraltiago and Jake and Amy separatedly soo much, I still think Amy was manipulative and not really supportive at all of Jake and his desition of not having kids. If my significnt other told me “we have kids or we breake up/get divorced” i would have been so fucking angry
Jake was very understanding of her and only agreed with her about it because she literally made him feel like she was holding a bomb that he had to defuse, like that’s how you decide to be a parent! I’m sad and i didn’t like it one bit, maybe i’m biased because i dont want kids, i dont know. You should never ever push the subject like than on someone, even more if certain someone just told you, they have issues with the subject and are insecure about it.
it felt like a pretty damn shitty thing to do on Amy behalf, i would like to know if someone agrees with me?
Amy also decided to settle the matter with something that benefitted her, not Jake. A structured debate is very fact-based and logical, and Jake is anything but that. He runs on emotions and feelings, and this placed him at a significant disadvantage, as shown by Gail giving a point to Amy because Jake was being “too emotional”.
Also, before he told Amy that he wanted kids, every sign told Jake that that was the wrong decision (Jake’s own issues with his dad, Terry telling Jake how stressful it was, and Pam’s struggle with her son and grandchild).
Don’t get me wrong, I love the two of them as much as anyone else, but Amy really shouldn’t have pushed Jake so hard to get what she wanted.
right? and also (and this is very nitpicky but it just occured to me) Amy did use an “emotional” argument when she pulled that “I would never go to a waterpark with you but guess who would... your child” LIKEEEEE ???????????? and she even said later she would love to go, she just didn’t wanna lose.
Idk, all of it made me incredibly uncomfortable, Jake looked super honestly distressed the whole chapter, his expressions were very clear and out of his usual self while Amy was playing her debate game. i didn’t like this ep, i really love Amy as a character and i hated what happened here :(
Jon: Don’t you have any faith in me at all?
Sansa: You know I do.
Narrator: She didn’t.
