Baby Came Home | Fabrevans
Quinn hummed to herself, tucking any stray hairs she could find either into an already used bobby pin or behind her ear. She smiled into the vanity mirror as she finished the last of her makeup, feeling quite content with the way she looked. The part about her having bought a new outfit was true, and she couldn’t wait to try it out. Although she and Sam had no plans to leave their own humble abode until she’d mentioned it, she couldn’t wait to get out.
Lately, all the two of them had been doing was working. The blond was usually asleep before she could finish giving Sam the back rubs he loved so much, so it was safe to say the couple hadn’t been spending as much time together. Many of the books she had read in her lifetime had promised that there’d be a rift in the relationship eventually, but she couldn’t see why- they lived together, for christ’s sake.
With a shrug of her exposed shoulders, she blew out a deep breath and spritzed her favorite perfume on all the specific points the magazines always mentioned. Hopefully Sam would pick the venue since she was the one who had suggested it, but it could go the exact opposite way. Standing up from the vanity chair, she smoothed the invisible wrinkles in her dress and headed to the couch to wait on him. The full glass of wine she’d poured before primping would probably get to her before Sam did.
Sam was actually pretty glad that they were going on a date night. It had been too damn long and they both worked so much. Sometimes he wished he could rekindle the spark that they had when they first met. Not that it was gone, just the real world tended to get in the way. And Sam figured that it was normal for that to happen. They were engaged and happy but everyone had to work. Maybe one day he could get rich so they could stay home all say and have sex. It was every guys dream.
He got home from the store and put up the protein and stuff for shakes and went into their bedroom to get ready. Sam went into the closet and found a nice pair of jeans and a button up shirt. "You look nice, babe," he said as he came out to put his boots on. "I like he new dress." Sam slipped them on and got up. He kissed her lips quickly and then winked at her. "So j was thinking...how about that new restaurant across from the Starbucks? It looks nice. And it got good reviews."
He ran a hand through his messy hair and grabbed his wallet, keys and phone. "I hear they have amazing wine...maybe we should get tipsy and come home and let me take that dress off if you." Sam had been wanting to have src with her for some time but he had been too exhausted most days. Another down side. "Or whatever you want babe."
