Biting the bullet and practicing drawing Obi Wan. Especially his hair at angles.

Loved @inky-axolotl Obi-Wan drawings so so much I just had to try and redraw them. Been thinking about their style for a week now before I finally just sat down and drawn it through the art block. They make him so expressive and lovely. It was a fun and very informative practice. Thought me a lot about drawing beard and hair without adding too realistic details.

I headcanon that Obi-Wan taught Anakin the tea ceremony. Because Qui-Gon taught it to him.

This headcanon is everything to me. For a Japanese culture class I took in university, they had someone demonstrate a tea ceremony for us and it was so wonderful. I can just imagine Obi-Wan teaching Anakin a tea ceremony to help him focus instead of resorting to standard meditation.

Anakin always liked to work with his hands, so I bet he would get pretty good at this, not really realizing how calm it made him to do each step. And while learning from Obi-Wan??? They would sit together and go through the motions, totally in sync. By the end, Anakin would feel so peaceful and clear-headed. And also so close to Obi-Wan. Learning the tea ceremony that Qui-Gon had passed down to Obi-Wan, having a special ritual just for the two of them. I think Anakin would remember that forever.

Yes Yes!! This is what I was thinking! Obi-Wan would probably think Anakin would need a ritual to do to lull him into meditation!

I also feel like either of them would perform it when the other is upset or stressed.

The tea ceremony was used to promote friendly relations and the drink was shared. I like the idea of Obi-Wan and Anakin enacting a symbol of their bond through making and sharing a cup of tea.

Just saw that Jaws is being rereleases in theaters for its 50th anniversary and immediately remembered you talking about doing a Jaws au art lol.

OMG I read this and immediately checked to see if it’d be showing at any of my local theaters haha I need to see that mechanical shark on the big screen FR!

And I absolutely still plan to make some art for that AU. I’ve been thinking about it so much. Like when they’re here
