'Umar was heard to say,
"Anyone who does not show mercy will not be shown mercy. Anyone who does not forgive will not be forgiven. Anyone who does not turn in repentance will not be turned to nor will he be protected or guarded."

A very beautiful Dua I want to share with you
Allahumma Raddanii biqdaaika wabaariklii fee qadarika hatta laa uhibba ta’jila shayin akkhartahu walaa ta’khira shayin ajjaltahu
'O Allah, make me content with Your decree, so that I may not love to hasten what You have delayed, or delay what You have hastened.'
[Shu’ab al-Imān 224]
“Rise up, then. Mend your ways, start seeing what you are instead of calculating what you should become.”
— Franz Kafka, from a diary entry c. August 1916, featured in “Diaries,”
It's my 10 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳
Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people. The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt, or to feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque in Medina for a month. Whoever swallows his anger, then Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could fulfill his anger if he wished, then Allah will secure his heart on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever walks with his brother regarding a need until he secures it for him, then Allah Almighty will make his footing firm across the bridge on the day when the footings are shaken.

Happiness is attained by three things: being patient when tested, being thankful when receiving a blessing, and being repentant upon sinning. —Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ
“You want to stick to Qu'ran and Sunnah? Then stick to the way of Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik, Imam al-Shafi'i and Imam Ahmad. رحمهم الله If they did not understand the Qur'an and Sunnah then I guarantee you that no Mullah, Molvi, Mawlana, Sheikh, Imam, Brother and Da'i in our time can understand it.”
— Shaykh Mohammad Aslam
Life changes. You lose friends. You lose pieces of yourself that you never imagined would be gone. And then, without you even realizing it, these pieces come back. Better friends come along. And a stronger, wiser you are staring back in the mirror. Trust Allah and be patient!
Ibn Al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said:
"Soorah Al-Fatiha comprises of two types of cures:
1. Cure for hearts
2. Cure for bodies
I used to be affected by pains and I would hasten to read Soorah Al-Fatiha and wipe myself with it, and it was as if pebbles would fall off me."
[Madarij As-Salikeen (1/58) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath Al-Anbiyya]
“Whatever you’re meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible.”
— Doris Lessing
You gain nothing in doubting. Not a thing. Believe in yourself. Always. Forever. That’s the only way forward. Radical self-love and unwavering self-esteem.
it doesn’t matter how successful or unsuccessful you are right now. What matters is whether your habits are putting you on the path toward success. You should be far more concerned with your current trajectory than with your current results.
Leave space for your emotions. If you feel something, validate it. Do not repress it, do not criticize it, do not judge it. Emotions are not meant to be logical, they are not meant to make sense. They are just meant to be.
“it’s a beautiful thing to be understood, but a powerful thing to understand yourself.”
— iambrillyant
And you, when will you begin that long journey inward?
-Rumi
“authenticity in connections is a spiritual prerequisite. i’d rather you come as you are, even when your light is dim and you’re not able to show up fully.”
— iambrillyant
