Gonna start wearing niqab full time soon!!
I wish I was brave enough to wear Niqab!
My drawing don't steal, but feel free to reblog!
Salaam friends!
Here to ask a little question. Does anyone have any Muslim music artists that they like to listen to? I realized that, while I love music a lot, I don't really listen to any Muslim artists, and I want to change that!
I enjoy rock, pop, rap, electronic, whatever you may have. I'm open to any suggestion! :D Thank you!
okay but nonbinary people who wear hijabs. effervescent. every single nonbinary hijabi deserves to have a great day
God told me I was going to be a queer muslim long before I even knew what that was. Wallahi I am queer in the name of Allah - someone on tiktok
hijabi sapphics, y’all deserve the world. sending you guys love today and always.
lesbian and queer fashion includes hijabs, niqabs, burqas, and other religious and cultural clothing. queer muslims, queer jewish people, queer people of color, should not have to choose between their faith and their presentation. they do not need to sacrifice their cultural clothing in order to satisfy western standards of queer gender presentation. butch and femme muslims, jewish people, and poc who wear niqabs, burqas, niqabs, yarmulkes, etc- are not “straying” from lesbian fashion or culture, they are adding to it and making it more rich and beautiful. all sapphics deserve to feel safe in their head coverings. if you’re a sapphic who wears head coverings/body coverings or cultural clothing of some sort, you are valuable and beautiful just as you are.
PSA: As a queer Muslim, can I just say that we need to address both homophobia within the Muslim community AND Islamophobia within the LGBTQ+ community?
Because it sucks being viewed as a sinner and a disgrace by most of my family and many other members of my faith, but it also sucks to hear my fellow queer folks attacking Islam as a whole, when in truth, the religion preaches peace and tolerance.
If you're a cisgender, heterosexual Muslim, please remember that there are queer Muslims who are trying their best to serve Allah, just like you, and that we are not inherently any more dirty or shameful than anyone else.
If you're a non-Muslim member of the LGBTQ+ community, please remember that there are queer Muslims, and there are Muslims who are allies, and it hurts to see our religion painted as evil.
afab non binary muslim culture is struggling because you want to look more genderless but you wear hijab
AFAB non binary muslim culture is feeling gender euphoric in an abaya and islamic clothing because it’s not that different from a thobe and its not as feminised in western culture as shorter dresses are.
I want an Abaya so bad!!
queer muslim culture is debating on reverting because it seems so right but you’re bisexual & non-binary, & this is who you are, & feel that you won’t be welcome in muslim spaces since you’re queer
Learning Arabic, so I can one day read the Quran, for now I'm reading the English translation, but I haven't missed prayer today and even did an extra prayer to Allah.
I feel so much better after prayer and reading versed inspired by the Quran!
