the phrase "it's a shonen manga, don't expect a shoujo" only works for sns, not for naruhina or sasusaku
This is the argument that nh and ss will tell you when you tell them that their partner doesn't have romantic moments and lacks affection

The shikatema doesn't have too many moments but Kishimoto was able to let you know that something would happen there making Temari save Shikamaru and he accept that she saves him or a naruto asking if they were on a date as soon as he saw them walking together
Yahiko and Konan don't have enough moments either and yet Kishimoto gave them a panel where it is concluded that they kissed and Nagato, being friends with both of them, is happy for them
And there is also Tsunade/Dan who are a very well-formed couple through which he respects Tsunade's decisions, then they go on dates together And then they form their relationship as a couple together until he dies but Tsunade keeps remembering him every day and his death was what finally gave rise to Tsunade's trauma with the blood
